Dale Weise (hand) may get clearance Tuesday to play on Wednesday against Chicago.

"We'll see how the injury responds tomorrow and determine what the plan is," said Weise after he practiced on Monday. "I've been skating for the past week and a half, so my conditioning level is good. All I need now is to get some game action under my belt and to work the kinks out before the playoffs." He has been sidelined since Mar. 24 with a hand injury.

Dale Weise has been traded to the Montreal Canadiens for defenseman Raphael Diaz.

Weise has recorded three goals, 12 points and 42 penalty minutes in 44 games this season. He's a hard-nosed player who likes to initiate contact, but he shouldn't be on your fantasy radar unless you need penalty minutes.

Dale Weise thinks that Phoenix's Martin Hanzal has a lot of explaining to do on the ice after he injured three of his Vancouver teammates nine days ago.

The Coyotes and Canucks meet tonight and there should be some rough stuff headed Hanzal's way after the center injured Henrik Sedin, David Booth and Mike Santorelli. "We'll see what happens tomorrow but I think he's going to have to answer the bell," Weise said on Saturday. "Obviously he took a pretty good stab at Hankie, a pretty good stab at Boothie and then Santorelli off the draw. It was tough for us (to immediately react). We saw what he was doing but it's a tight game and you can't really go out and get a penalty trying to jump a guy, or trying to engage a guy, and then they score and make it 2-0. So you have to be smart about the way you do it." It should be interesting.
