The Pioneer Press is reporting that Ilya Bryzgalov will not return to the Minnesota Wild for the 2014-15 season.

Bryzgalov is eligible for unrestricted free agency and that's the way it looks things will progress as the Wild will go with Josh Harding, Niklas Backstrom and Darcy Kuemper as their three netminders. Stay tuned as some NHL team should take a shot at the former number one goalie in Phoenix and Philadelphia.

Ilya Bryzgalov is eligible for unrestricted free agency this July and it's unclear if he'll be back in Minnesota.

Still, he thoroughly enjoyed his time with the Wild. "I've been so happy here," he said. "I wish we can accomplish more. It is what it is. My personal experience was probably the best team I've played [for], best organization I've been [in]." Coach Mike Yeo was also pleased to have Bryzgalov in the organization. "I'm really proud of him, what he brought to our group," said Minnesota's bench boss. "You know we all heard stories about Bryz and all I can say is this guy was an unbelievable teammate and came into some really tough situations and he was incredibly bought in to our team."

Ilya Bryzgalov blocked 25 of 27 shots in Minnesota's 2-1 overtime loss to Chicago Tuesday evening at Xcel Energy Center.

Bryzgalov played a solid game and he finished his playoffs with a 3-6-2 record. He also has a 2.63 goal-against average and .885 save percentage. Bryzgalov played a good series against the Blackhawks and Darcy Kuemper probably couldn't play any better, if he would have been healthy.

Netminder Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 26 of the 27 shots he faced but he and the Minnesota Wild were edged 2-1 by the Blackhawks in Game 5 of the teams' Western Conference semifinal series Sunday night.

The Wild now trail the Hawks 3-2 in the series. Game 6 will be played in Minnesota Tuesday night. The home team has won every game of the series thus far. Bryzgalov is 3-5-1 in the post-season. His GAA is 2.60 and his save percentage is .908.

Although he let in a questionable goal Friday night, Ilya Bryzgalov made a game-changing save on a Patrick Sharp breakaway.

With the game tied at two, Sharp deked on a breakaway but Bryzgalov made a tremendous pad save to keep the puck out of the net. From that point on, the Wild feeding off the energy of that save, dominated and ultimately scored twice to secure the victory. "At the time, you can call it a game-changing save," Zach Parise said. Bryzgalov was acquired as an insurance policy at the trade deadline. With three Minnesota goalies injured at the moment, it looks like his acquisition was a very astute move.

Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 18 of 20 shots in Minnesota's 4-2 win over Chicago in Game 4 of their second round playoff series on Friday night.

Bryzgalov continued his solid performance from last game, although he could have easily saved the first Chicago goal. Bryzgalov now has a 2.91 goals-against average with .866 save percentage in the playoffs. Minnesota will face Chicago again on Sunday night and Bryzgalov could be the starting goalie again then.

Ilya Bryzgalov stopped all 19 shots he faced in Minnesota's 4-0 win over Chicago in Game 3 of their second round playoff series on Tuesday night.

Bryzgalov played his best game in this years playoffs and recorded his fourth career playoff shutout but first since 2006. Bryzgalov has to continue to play like this and give the Wild a chance to win this series against the Blackhawks. Bryzgalov still has some ugly numbers in the playoffs with 3.09 goals-against average and .860 save percentage.

Ilya Bryzgalov is expected to start again for the Wild in Game 3 on Tuesday night.

"He's in the net," coach Mike Yeo said. "We got to find a way to get a win and that's all of us. That's him, but our team too and I'm not going to sit around and wait for another option, for someone else to come in. This is the guy, so let's quit even talking about it. We shouldn't even be talking about who is backing up. [Bryzgalov] is the guy right now and so we have to find a way as a team and as a staff to get a win." Minnesota doesn't have any other options anyway with Darcy Kuemper, Josh Harding and Niklas Backstrom injured.

Ilya Bryzgalov allowed three goals on 21 shots in Minnesota's 4-1 Game 2 loss to the Blackhawks on Sunday.

Bryzgalov's performance at times this season was a nice story, but it doesn't appear he'll be a difference-maker for the Wild in this series, and that's obviously not good news for his team's prospects. He has given up seven goals over his last two games. Altogether, he has a 3.90 goals-against average and .830 save percentage during the playoffs. The Wild trail in the series 2-0.

All eyes will be on Ilya Bryzgalov Sunday afternoon.

He will get the start as Darcy Kuemper is injured. Bryzgalov did not play well Friday night in Game 1 allowing four goals on 21 shots and needs to be much better if Minnesota is to have any chance of defeating the Hawks in Game 2.
