Daniel Winnik C ANA 5 Days
Daniel Winnik could center the fourth line on Sunday after spending most of the season as a third line winger.
The move may be needed as usual center Mathieu Perreault will likely miss the game on Sunday with an apparent arm injury. Winnik has only two goals and 20 assists this season but he has a goal and two assists while the Ducks have been shorthanded so he has value if you use that category.

Daniel Winnik had two assists in the Ducks' 3-2 overtime win on Saturday.
Winnik's been hot lately with nine points in his last nine games. That gives him a goal and 18 points in 40 games, putting him on course to comfortably surpass his career-high of 26 points. He's a decent short-term option in standard leagues while he's hot, but we can't recommend picking him up as a more long-term solution.

The Anaheim Ducks are experimenting with using Daniel Winnik as a center.
"Well, the upside of it is many-fold," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "One is that if he goes back to wing, we know now in a pinch he can play center. It's not just like throwing him in cold. He knows the system. We have the faith in him that he can do it." Regardless of what position Winnik plays, he will almost certainly serve as a bottom-six forward. He isn't expected to have much fantasy value in standard leagues.

Daniel Winnik is getting a chance to play on the top line with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.
That is what scoring five goals in four games will do for you. Coach Bruce Boudreau loves to switch up the lines and putting Winnik up top is his current move. "Once you get to know me, you'll see my lines change a lot," Boudreau said. "I'll usually keep two of them together, but the third guy can change if I feel someone is going or not going." Obviously do not expect Winnik to keep up anything close to this pace but he could pot 15 goals if he can keep it up.

Daniel Winnik is the first player to start his Anaheim Ducks career with back-to-back two-goal showings.
When you think of some of the talent that has been on the Ducks over the years, including Paul Kariya and Teemu Selanne, that's a pretty impressive feat. Winnik has never scored more than 11 goals in a single season and might stay hot for a bit longer, he shouldn't be regarded as a long-term option in standard fantasy leagues.
