Wilson tallied his first goal of the season in Sunday's win over the Canucks.

Wilson's goal came with just 1:33 remaining in the contest, giving the Predators some added insurance in the 3-1 victory. He's averaging 14:38 of ice time this season while playing primarily on the Preds' third line, a role that makes him relatively uninteresting for fantasy purposes.

Wilson (undisclosed), who wore a no-contact jersey for Tuesday's practice, was a full participant Wednesday, according to the Tennessean.

Wilson centered a line with Erik Nystrom and Rich Clune during practice, which would represent either the Preds' third or fourth line most nights. While the injury concerns surrounding Wilson appear to have faded, we need to see him back on a scoring line to view him as fantasy-worthy in most formats. Earlier in camp, he was skating with Derek Roy and Craig Smith, so hopefully he gets reunited with these two higher-caliber linemates at some point.

Wilson (undisclosed) practiced Tuesday in a no-contact jersey, The Tennessean's Eric Stromgren reports.

There has been no official word regarding the exact nature or severity of the injury, so consider him day-to-day for now. Wilson had been skating on the Preds' second line alongside Derek Roy and Craig Smith prior to the injury.

Colin Wilson admitted that his shoulder stabilization procedures could've held him back this past season.

"It was a tough start to the season and a tough season for myself. I didn't feel quite like myself at the beginning," Wilson said. "I think there were a few factors and (the shoulders) could have been one of them. I think I did everything I could and felt pretty good going into camp and throughout the season, but I tried to not let it get to me." He scored four goals in the first two months of the season and ended up with just 11 markers and 33 points in 81 games. Wilson was moved to his natural position at center this year, but the move didn't help him pick up points. Perhaps Nashville's new coach and a healthier start can give the 24-year-old forward the breakout season that the team and potential fantasy owners have been waiting for.

Colin Wilson snapped a 33-game goalless slump in Thursday's win over the Buffalo Sabres.

"It was a good feeling," said Wilson after he scored his first goal since Dec. 30. "I've just been trying to get the puck to the net. I feel like I've had some good chances lately and they just haven't been going in, so maybe this will open something for the last couple of games here." He has eight goals and 20 assists in 73 games this season.

Colin Wilson will probably be in store for bigger role now that the Predators have traded top center David Legwand to Detroit.

He had been skating on the third line, but he's likely to get a top-six spot with Legwand out of the mix. Wilson hasn't scored a goal since Dec. 30 and he's generated just two assists in his past 18 games.

Colin Wilson has been enjoying his time at center.

"I love it. It's great," he said. "I feel like I'm a lot more defensively responsible than in my first couple of years, and at the same time I'm supporting the puck, I feel more involved in the play and I can use my speed through the middle." Coach Barry Trotz has liked what he's seen from Wilson in the middle as well. However, the 24-year-old forward still has some work to do offensively. He has seven goals and 24 points in 58 games this season and he's collected just one assist in six contests since moving to center.

Colin Wilson played in just his second game at center this season in Tuesday's win over Winnipeg.

"I thought he played really well. I thought Colin played really well," coach Barry Trotz said. "He made plays. More than anything, he was playing with pace, but he was hard on the puck. Once he got it, he wasn't giving it up easily." Wilson received 13:41 and he won 38 percent of his faceoffs. He hasn't scored a goal since Dec. 30 and he has only three assists in his last 15 matches.

Colin Wilson registered two goals and an assist for Nashville in Monday's 6-4 win over the Red Wings.

A recent scratching of Wilson from the Preds lineup seems to have lit a fire under the young forward, as he has now picked up five points during an active three-game point streak. Mike Fisher also experienced a big night, racking up one goal and two helpers while Craig Smith, Nick Spaling and Roman Josi all found the back of the net in the win.

Center Colin Wilson will be back in the Nashville lineup when the Predators entertain the Montreal Canadiens tonight.

But make no mistake about Wilson's status. He needs to show considerable progress. He was a healthy scratch for the Preds' last game on Thursday. Wilson was supposed to be one of Nashville's top offensive options and a leader. Instead, he has just 15 points in 34 games, and one point in his last six. Of the healthy scratch, Wilson said: "I think it's them telling me that I need to do better." Coach Barry Trotz says Wilson must play better to remain in the lineup. "Our job as coaches is to try to get him to the next level," Trotz said. "As a coach you try everything from a subtle approach, to a teaching approach, to an in your face approach, to all those things," Trotz said. "Colin has been in the league five years now. He has to figure it out too. There's a responsibility on the player as there is on the coaches."
