White was loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.

The veteran winger has yet to play in the NHL this season following surgery on his left pectoral muscle. As such, the Flyers likely wanted to give him some additional time in the AHL to get back into game shape before giving him a shot with the major league club.

White was placed on waivers by the Flyers on Monday, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

White was recalled from his conditioning stint with AHL Lehigh Valley and placed back on waivers with the intention of sending him back to the minors for more ice time. The veteran winger hasn't played in the NHL this season following surgery on his left pectoral muscle, but could be on track to return at some point in the near future. With five months off, the Flyers likely wanted to give him some extra conditioning before rejoining the team, and that will happen assuming he goes unclaimed through waivers.

White has been recalled from his conditioning stint with Lehigh Valley.

Although he did not contribute on the score sheet during the conditioning assignment, the Flyers will have White available for Tuesday's home game against Ottawa.

White (chest) will begin his conditioning stint at AHL Lehigh Valley, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Expect the Flyers to keep White on assignment for nearly all of the maximum 14 days allowed, as he missed all of training camp while recovering from surgery on his left pectoral muscle in August. He's known more for his scrapping ability on the checking line than any scoring touch, which should keep him off the fantasy radar for the most part once he finally returns.

White (chest) is expected to report to AHL Lehigh Valley on a conditioning assignment next week, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

White has been sidelined since late-August after undergoing surgery to repair his left pectoral muscle, so he'll essentially need an abbreviated training camp in the minors in order to get up to speed. Once he get a handful of games under his belt and reports no lingering pain, White figures to be added to the Flyers' 23-man roster. If that comes to fruition, he'd likely serve as a fourth line player for Philadelphia.

General manager Ron Hextall said White (chest) is now likely to return in late December or early January "at the latest," Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

White was initially projected to be out until February after undergoing surgery on his left pectoral muscle prior to training camp, but after he surprisingly resumed skating Tuesday, he'll be able to shave a full month off that timetable. The forward will still need several weeks in order to make up for the lost conditioning time.

White (chest) skated prior to Tuesday's practice, Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The 26-year-old White was projected to be out until February after requiring surgery on a torn left pectoral muscle in August, but his presence on the ice offers hope that he may be able to beat that timetable by a significant margin. While he's still likely miss several more weeks at the bare minimum, the fact that White is progressing quicker than expected is a welcome development for a player the Flyers were counting on to be a key cog on the fourth line.

White (chest) is expected to miss the next five months, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

White had surgery on his left pectoral muscle in August and will need a substantial amount of time to recover. The 26-year-old's career had been gaining steam over the past few seasons, but this injury will put him on the shelf until late February. As a result, he should be off the radar in virtually every league.

White underwent surgery Wednesday to repair his left pectoral muscle.

The Flyers haven't provided a timetable for a return for White, who signed with the organization on a one-year, two-way contract on Aug. 7. White, 26, totaled six points and 50 PIM in 52 games with the Canadiens last season. He was slated to compete for a fourth-line role with the Flyers in training camp, but those hopes could be dashed as a result of the procedure.

White signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Flyers on Friday.

White played 52 games with the Canadiens last season, posting two goals and four assists with the club along with 50 penalty minutes. He will likely slide in at center and battle for a spot on one of the bottom two lines for the Flyers.
