Ward will start in goal Thursday against the Kings.
Ward got back in the win column Tuesday despite allowing four goals on 27 shots to the Stars, and he'll look to keep it going Thursday against a Kings team he held to two goals on 32 shots back on Nov. 2. It will mark Ward's ninth start in 11 games.

Ward allowed four goals on 27 shots, but got plenty of offensive support in Tuesday's 6-4 win over Dallas.
After two good starts in a row that ended in losses, Ward turned in one of his uglier efforts in a while, but won anyway. The four goals represent the most he's allowed since giving up five back on Oct. 23 in Calgary.

Ward will be in goal for Tuesday's game against the Stars, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' website reports.
Ward lost his last two starts, but he has not given up more than two goals in any of his seven November starts. He will take on a Dallas squad that has won just two of its last 11 games.

Ward gave up two goals on 25 shots in a 2-1 loss to the Bruins on Saturday afternoon.
Ward kept the Canes in it in a tough matinee road contest against the Bruins, but it wasn't enough as neither team found twine after Patrice Bergeron's game-winning goal in the first period. Ward is now 5-5-1 with a .907 save percentage and 2.44 GAA this year, and makes for one of the least appealing of the league's starting netminders on a mediocre -- albeit improving -- Carolina squad.

Ward will start Saturday against the Sabres.
Ward lost his last time out to snap a five-game winning streak, but he gave up just two goals in the game and has not given up more than that in any game this month. He will take on a Bruins team that is playing better but lost its last two games by a combined score of 11-2.

Ward stopped 34 of 36 in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Jets.
So ends Ward's five-game winning streak, but this one can hardly be pinned on the goalie, who played very well again. He continues to right the ship after a horrid start to the year.

Coach Bill Peters confirmed after Wednesday's practice that Ward would get the start in goal Thursday against the Stars.
Ward has earned effusive praise from Peters over the last two weeks by reeling off five consecutive wins to finally bring his save percentage to an even .900 after a dismal start to the season. Even so, it seems like a prime opportunity to sell-high on Ward, given his poor overall ratios and the relatively weak offense supporting him, which makes his 5-3-1 record look rather unsustainable.

Ward recorded 22 saves in leading the way to a 4-1 victory over the Flames on Monday.
Make it five straight wins in net for Ward, as he improved his season record to 5-3-1. Along with a shaky start, a big concern with Ward appeared to be the lack of wins he'd pick up this year, but the team appears to have turned a corner with points in six straight. Ward's been great in November, allowing just seven goals in five games, all wins.

Ward will start between the pipes Monday against the Flames, Michael Smith of the team's official site reports.
Ward has collected four straight wins for the Canes, and allowed just six goals over that span. He's now 4-3-1 on the season, and could be turning the corner in terms of fantasy value this season.

Ward made 29 saves on 31 shots for his fourth straight win Friday against Columbus.
After a slow start, Ward has now picked up four straight wins, allowing only six goals in that span. Ride him while he is hot, as even though he is Carolina's clear No.1 goalie, he won't be able to maintain this elite level of play for much longer.
