Ward will be between the pipes Tuesday against the Predators, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' website reports.

Ward will look to secure back to back wins as the Jackets take on the Predators Tuesday. While the Hurricanes have struggled as a team of late, Ward has actually been playing quite well, recording a .944 save percentage in his last six games. While his lackluster 10-15-2 record doesn't exactly inspire confidence, Ward is a decent play in leagues that give credit for save percentage and goals against.

Ward stopped all but one of the 24 shots he faced in Friday's win over the Flyers.

A much-needed win for Ward, who had previously lost eight of his last nine games. While he may be piling up the losses, Ward has actually been playing very well of late, recording a .944 save percentage in his last six games. Ward's lackluster 10-15-2 record is more indicative of the team's overall play, as Carolina sits at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, having scored just 75 goals on the season -- fewest in the NHL. Considering he plays almost every game, Ward is a decent fantasy option if your league gives credit for save percentage and goal-against.

Ward will make the start in goal Friday against the Flyers, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.

Ward has lost four straight games for the Hurricanes, despite allowing just two goals in each of those contests. The Carolina offense has evaporated over the past few weeks, requiring Ward to be even sharper than normal just to keep his team competitive. A match with the Flyers should present some opportunities for the Hurricanes' attack, but it's becoming increasingly doubtful that they'll have enough talent to capitalize on those chances. For that reason, Ward remains a shaky fantasy option.

Ward stopped 37 of the 39 shots he faced in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Penguins.

Ward turned in a stellar performance Wednesday, but was saddled with his third straight regulation loss after the team in front of him could only churn out one goal. Ward is now 9-15-2 on the season with a .914 save percentage and a 2.39 GAA.

Ward will start Wednesday's game in Pittsburgh.

Ward owns a respectable 2.41 GAA and .912 save percentage, but his 9-14-2 record is about what you'd expect. While a contest in Pittsburgh never makes for an easy matchup, the Penguins have struggled over the last few games while dealing with a slew of injuries.

Ward only stopped 16 of 18 shots in a 3-1 loss to Montreal on Monday.

Ward was outplayed by Carey Price in a game the Cane's probably could have won with a little puck luck. Ward is actually having a solid season but wins will still be tough to come by as the team around him isn't very good and could get even worse as the season moves along.

Ward will start in net Monday against the Canadiens.

Ward has lost his last couple starts, but has been playing extremely well lately, with a save percentage over .940 in each of his last three appearances.

Ward played well against the high-powered Lightning on Saturday -- stopping 36 of 38 shots -- but it wouldn't be enough as the Hurricanes fell 2-1.

There wasn't much else the veteran could do in this one, as Ben Bishop shut down all but one of Carolina's 26 shot attempts in this one. Strangely enough, Ward actually suffered a 2-1 loss to these same Lightning back on Dec. 11 -- and allowed two goals or less in five of his last six appearances -- so he's definitely done his part recently in attempting to pull the Hurricanes out of the basement of the Metropolitan Division. He now owns a 9-13-2 record with a 2.42 GAA and .913 save percentage this season, and probably deserves to start when Carolina takes the ice next Monday against the Canadiens.

Ward will be in the crease Saturday against the Lightning.

He'll square off against the Bolts' Ben Bishop, in a rematch of their meeting that occurred just two weeks earlier. Ward took a hard-luck loss in that outing by stopping 25 shots in a 2-1 defeat, and it's difficult to see him drawing much closer than that unless he somehow manages to shut out the powerful Bolts attack. The Hurricanes have been abysmal offensively of late, providing more than two goals in a game just once in their last 12 contests.

Ward made 32 saves through overtime, but allowed a shootout goal in a 3-2 loss to the Rangers.

He earned the game's third star for his efforts. He has just one win in his last six starts and is 1-4-1 in that span. It's tough to roll him in any fantasy format -- the Canes are awful and he just isn't good enough to lift them out of the muck.
