Jiri Tlusty C CAR 1 Day
Tlusty was held off the scoreboard for the third straight game during Wednesday's 1-0 loss to the Panthers. He recorded just a single shot on goal and saw just 15:53 worth of ice time.
Tlusty's season got off to a great start with a hat trick in his second game back on Oct. 11, but he's been mostly quiet since then, with just six points in his last 19 games. For now, Tlusty continues to spend most of his time on the top line with Eric Staal and Alexander Semin, however we wouldn't be surprised if he was shifted to a lower line at some point, or sat out as a healthy scratch. Overall, his value as a reliable fantasy option is in rapid decline - avoid using him if you can.

Tlusty tallied the Hurricanes' lone goal in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Bruins.
Tlusty put Carolina on the board first when he tipped a Justin Faulk shot attempt past goalie Tuukka Rask for his seventh marker of the season. It was just the winger's second point in the month of November, spanning a total of eight games.

Coach Bill Peters said after Friday's morning skate that Tlusty (head) remains on track to play against the Blue Jackets.
Tlusty did depart early during the team's morning skate, but only for final testing as part of the concussion protocol. Assuming he comes through the testing without incident, just as he had the previous couple of days, he'll likely be on track to see his usual 19 minutes of action on the Canes' top line.

Tlusty (head) expects to play Friday against the Blue Jackets.
Tlusty wore a non-contact sweater at Thursday's practice, but he was able to make it through the session without setback. A final call on Tlusty's status will be made following Friday's morning skate, but it looks like the injury that knocked him out of Tuesday's game will not cost him any additional action.

Tlusty (head) underwent concussion tests Tuesday and is expected to receive additional testing Thursday.
While Tlusty isn't in the clear just yet, he indicated he felt better Wednesday, a day after he was the recipient of a vicious check to the head from the Blue Jackets' Jack Johnson. The Hurricanes will take every precaution to keep Tlusty off the ice until he's passed all the tests conducted by the team's medical staff, putting his status for Friday's rematch with Columbus in question for the moment.

Tlusty, who left Tuesday's game versus the Blue Jackets after taking a hit to the head, told coach Bill Peters he "felt fine" after the contest.
Though Tlusty's words would seem to offer encouragement that he avoided a serious injury, the Hurricanes probably aren't ruling out a concussion just yet, as symptoms can often take several hours or even a day to surface. For now, he should be viewed as questionable for Friday's rematch with the Blue Jackets in Carolina.

Tlusty left Tuesday's game against the Blue Jackets with an undisclosed injury and will not return.
Tlusty took a blindside hit to the head from the Jackets' Jack Johnson and immediately headed to the locker room. It's possible the forward sustained a concussion as a result of the blow, but the team probably won't provide an official diagnosis on his condition until Wednesday.

Tlusty scored for the second straight game in Saturday's win over Arizona.
Considering it took the Hurricanes nine games to win this season, it's quite impressive Tlusty has managed six goals in his last eight games. With Eric Staal back from injury, Tlusty should continue to find the back of the net, skating on the top line.

Tlusty scored the Hurricanes' only goal in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Canucks.
Tlusty has been one of the brighter lights on an otherwise dismal Hurricanes team this year. He now leads his team with seven points in eight games, and is well on pace to surpass the 30 points he posted last season. Furthermore, with linemate Eric Staal (upper body) now back in the lineup, Tlusty should benefit from an even stronger supporting cast. Enjoy the ride while it lasts.

Tlusty was responsible for the Hurricanes' only goal in Tuesday's loss to the Jets.
Aside from his Oct. 11 hat trick against the Islanders, Tlusty's offense has mostly been nonexistent, and the same could be said for just about all of his mates. His five points are tied for tops on the team with Chris Terry, despite the fact that the duo has combined for only 13 shots on goal in Carolina's five games.
