Rene Bourque drove the Canadiens past the Lightning in Game 2 on Friday night, scoring two goals in the Habs' 4-1 victory in Tampa Bay.

Bourque's first goal is making the rounds on the highlight reels, as the veteran split the Bolts' defense and poked the puck past a sprawling Anders Lindback. That goal stood as the game-winner, while Bourque's second marker increased the Habs' lead to 3-0 and essentially putting the game out of reach in the third period for the hometown Lightning.

David Desharnais added an empty netter for the Habs, scoring just his 10th point of the season. Bourque has never really delivered since his promising 58 points in 73 game season in 2009-2010.

Bouque is making progress in his recovery from an upper-body injury as he practised this week. Habs' coach Michel Therrien indicated that Bourque could return to action early next week.
