We'll have to see how coach Ken Hitchcock lines up his forwards for Friday's tilt with Boston. Regardless, Stastny has been playing well of late with seven points in his last nine games.

Going back to Jan. 19, Stastny has scored in seven of the last eight games, providing exactly one point on each occasion. The 29-year-old had difficulty finding a niche with his new team earlier this season, but seems to have settled in nicely of late.

He is lining up with Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko while teammate Jori Lehtera recovers from a concussion, which makes Stastny a good addition to any lineup.

Stastny has temporarily taken over as the Blues' second-line center while Jori Lehtera contends with an upper-body injury. A placement next to Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko could be exactly what Stastny needs to ignite in what has been a down season for him. He's notched nine goals and 27 points in 41 games, well off the pace of the 60-point campaign he delivered for the Avs a season earlier.

Stastny was absent in the points column for the third straight game, but was at least able to help out those in leagues that count faceoff victories. Stastny has been especially proficient in that regard this season, winning 58.1 percent of his draws.

Stastny opened the scoring with what turned out to be the game-winning goal and added a power-play assist in Tuesday's 6-0 rout of Arizona.

While Stastny struggled a bit with injury and inconsistency early on here in his first-ever season outside of Colorado, he's heated up dramatically of late. Tuesday's performance gives him eight points and a plus-6 rating over the last six games, though the goal was his first since Dec. 11.
