Wayne Simmonds notched a goal but it wasn't enough in the Flyers' 5-3 loss to the Devils on Friday night.

Simmonds is really blossoming into a fine fantasy player, with eight points and 27 penalty minutes in 12 games. Mike Knuble and Matt Read each had the other guys, while Kurtis Foster, Brayden Schenn and Ruslan Fedotenko had assists.

Wayne Simmonds gave the Flyers a 1-0 lead 40 seconds into the first, but they went on to suffer a 5-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Tye McGinn wouldn't score Philadelphia's second goal until 19:28 of the third period and by then the deficit was already to much to overcome. The Flyers have struggled out of the gate with a 5-7-1 start, good for 11th in the East.

Wayne Simmonds was back in the lineup Saturday after missing three games because of a concussion.

The big winger did not record a point in the contest but did get over 15 minutes of ice time in the win Saturday afternoon. Get him back in your lineup if you normally would.

Wayne Simmonds expects to play Saturday afternoon against Carolina.

He has missed the Flyers' last three games due to a concussion but wore a contact jersey in practice on Friday and will probably dress Saturday. Activate him immediately if you normally would.

Simmonds wore a non-contact jersey in practice yesterday but has switched to a regular jersey today, which would indicate he is likely good to go for tomorrow. Monitor his status prior to game-time (1:00 P.M. EST)

Wayne Simmonds (concussion) says he feels 'fine' but the decision on when he returns is up to coach Peter Laviolette.

Simmonds didn't play Thursday and GM Paul Holmgren said Simmonds didn't "feel quite right." As we said yesterday, therein lies the problems with concussions. Despite the player saying he's fine, the team must be 100-percent confident he's recovered before sending him back out there. The Flyers' next game is Saturday so Simmonds owners will have to wait for word after tomorrow's morning skate.
