Patrick Sharp LW CHI 9 Hrs

Sharp sniped his fifth goal of the season and recorded a game-high seven shots on goal in Saturday's loss to Columbus.

A dominant outing from Sharp, who has now collected two goals in his past three games, recording 14 shots on goal in that span. Sharp may be currently skating on the third line, but he is playing on the top power-play unit and will likely be moved back into the top-six soon. The 32-year-old has put 12 points in 19 games on the season, making him a reliable fantasy option on a Hawks team sitting second in the Western Conference.

Sharp scored a power-play goal in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Flames.

Playing in just his fourth game in over a month, Sharp netted his first goal since the end of October. The 32-year-old has 11 points through 17 games, and as he shakes off the rust from his leg injury, the points should start to come more frequently.

Sharp (leg) will be activated from injured reserve and return to the Chicago lineup Tuesday against New Jersey, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.

The leg injury kept Sharp out for a little over a month, or about a week longer than the Blackhawks had initially expected upon their first diagnosis of his condition. Despite the minor setback, it looks like the winger is now fully healthy and ready to resume what had been a respectable season prior to suffering the long-term injury. Sharp accumulated nine points in 13 games and is slated to join Bryan Bickell and Andrew Shaw on the third line in his return.

Sharp (leg) is expected to return to the lineup Tuesday against the Devils, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Sharp's recovery from the leg injury has taken slightly longer than initially expected, but he resumed practicing with the team earlier this week and appears on track to return for the second game of the Blackhawks' road trip. The 32-year-old has chipped in three goals and six assists in 13 games so far this season.

Sharp (leg) will not return until next week at the earliest, ESPN Chicago reports.

Though Sharp resumed practicing with the Blackhawks on Tuesday, coach Joel Quenneville expressed a desire to use the forward only if he was "more than ready" to play, stating that he wanted him to absorb more contact before returning. Sharp will be ruled out for both ends of the Blackhawks' back-to-back set, but should be a lineup option for the team as early as next Tuesday. That would put him total length of absence at five weeks -- about one-to-two longer than initially anticipated.

Sharp will not play Wednesday against the Blues and is expected to miss Friday's game versus the Canadiens as well, CSN Chicago's Tracey Myers reports.

Friday's game will mark the first of a back-to-back set for the Blackhawks, so coach Joel Quenneville would probably want to avoid a scenario where Sharp has to reenter the lineup and log heavy minutes right off the bat. Quenneville hasn't shed any light into where Sharp would play on once he returns, so a top-six role may not be guaranteed immediately upon his activation.

Sharp (leg) will not play Wednesday against the Blues.

Sharp will not return Wednesday as expected, but he was able to take the ice Tuesday, so there's a chance his return could be pushed back just one game. Expect the Blackhawks to update Sharp's status again later this week.

Sharp (leg) might not return by the expected Dec. 3 contest against the Blues, the Blackhawks Tweeter account reports.

Sharp could return for the Dec. 5 contest at home against Montreal. He had started practicing last week. It will be on the long end of the three-to-four week prognosis when he went down on November 4. Sharp has been durable in the past including skating in all 82 games last season. He has nine points in 13 games this season.

Patrick Sharp LW CHI 26 Days

Head coach Joel Quenneville expects Sharp (leg) to return to action Dec. 3, ESPN Chicago reports.

Sharp resumed skating over the weekend, and he should be ready to resume playing after another week of practice. Sharp had nine points in 13 games earlier this season and 78 points in 82 games last season, so he should provide fantasy owners with a scoring boost once he officially comes off injured reserve.

Sharp (leg) has resumed skating in Chicago, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.

The star winger is still on long-term injured reserve, and isn't expected to return during the team's current six game road trip. The news is still positive, though, since it means his recovery is still on track, and he should be back in the lineup in early December.
