Bogosian picked up 12 PIM in Friday's loss to the Rangers. While Bogosian is pointless in four games since being traded from Winnipeg, the 24-year-old is logging heavy minutes and has recorded seven shots on goal in his last three games. He's on Buffalo's top defensive pairing and power-play unit, so the points will come sooner than later.

Bogosian led all skaters with 32:23 in ice time in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout triumph for the Sabres. It took a few games for head coach Ted Nolan to get a feel for Bogosian, but once he did, it's clear Nolan wasn't lying when he said Bogosian would be a big minutes eater. Bogosian's 32:23 was nearly 10 more minutes than the next defenseman, Mike Weber. Youngsters Nikita Zadorov and Rasmus Ristolainen took a back seat in the game with Bogosian playing so much while defensive partner Andre Benoit reached extra benefits with the added ice time. This will probably be a common occurrence for the rest of the season, but Bogosian still hasn't tallied any points for the Sabres yet. He'll have to start producing a little bit to get back on the fantasy radar.

Expect Bogosian to "play a lot of minutes" Sunday, reports the Olean Times HeraldJosh Gorges will be out for the game, which makes Bogosian the team's biggest minutes eater by default. Wearing No. 47 for his new team, Bogosian is expected to play on the team's top pairing with Andre Benoit. The 24-year-old has a tough test with Philadelphia's dynamic duo of Jakub Voracek and Claude Giroux, who are attempting to snap a cold spell of their own. Bogosian has much more upside than Gorges, but also plays on the league's worst team. He'll get tons of minutes and opportunities, but it may not amount to much in fantasy hockey.

Bogosian was skating alongside Andre Benoit during Saturday's practice, reports the Olean Times Herald.Josh Gorges, who figures to be Bogosian's regular partner, wasn't at practice Saturday due to maintenance and his status for Sunday is unclear. Benoit has rotated in and out of the lineup all season, which means he could just be a placeholder until Gorges returns. By pairing Bogosian with Benoit, it indicates that head coach Ted Nolan may use Bogosian as a security blanket to let Bogosian's defensive partner contribute more on offense. Bogosian should make his debut Sunday against Philadelphia.

Bogosian was traded along with Evander Kane in a blockbuster deal to Buffalo, reports SiriusXM NHL Network. The hard-hitting defenseman will provide a strong defensive presence on the Buffalo blue line, which has been getting hammered all season. Bogosian will likely slot in on the first pairing on the right side. His defensive partner is likely to be Josh Gorges, giving Buffalo a pair that head coach Ted Nolan can utilize against the opposition's top forwards while leaving Rasmus Ristolainen and Nikita Zadorov intact as the second pair. Andrej Meszaros, Andre Benoit and Tyson Strachan will rotate for the third pairing. Bogosian will play a much bigger role in Buffalo than in Winnipeg by virtue of Buffalo's lack of depth. Bogosian will see an increase in ice time, possibly on the power play. He has 13 points in 41 games this season.

Bogosian tallied his third goal of the season and chipped in a power-play assist in Friday's win over the Blackhawks.

All three of Bogosian's goals have come in the last five games, with the blueliner also adding a pair of assists during that time. He's reached the 30-point plateau for a season before, so this sort run of production isn't necessarily unprecedented for Bogosian. He might be worth scooping up off the waiver wire in deeper formats.

Bogosian gathered an assist, three hits and finished with a plus-5 rating in Tuesday's 8-2 thrashing of the Panthers.

Bogosian posted the highest plus/minus of the night of any player on the Jets, while also extending his point streak to three games. The blueliner has generally been a letdown offensively since being selected with the No. 3 overall pick in 2008, but there's no questioning his talents. He might be worth a speculative pickup in deeper formats on the off chance that he's finally begun to unlock his vast potential.
