Quincey returned to the lineup Wednesday in a 2-1 victory over the Rangers after missing the previous five games.

Quincey isn't much of a scoring threat with 13 points in 53 games, but he's a solid defender and eats up a lot of minutes. He's more important to the Wings than to anyone's fantasy team.

Quincey is dealing with bone chips in his ankle and will visit with a specialist Tuesday, MLive.com's Ansar Khan reports.

The defenseman will likely be forced to address the issue with surgery at some point, but he's hoping to delay that until the offseason. Quincey's meeting with the specialist should provide him with more information regarding his injury, along with an expected timetable for his return. If the specialist rules that Quincey won't be able to postpone his operation, he would likely be forced to miss six weeks, which would sideline him for the remainder of the regular season.
