Lecavalier was ruled out for Saturday's season finale against the Senators due to a probable concussion, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Lecavalier sustained the head injury in Thursday's loss to the Hurricanes. The concussion will end what has been a terrible season that included several healthy scratches for the forward, who will finish with just 20 points in 57 games. He'll still have three years remaining on his contract with the Flyers at a $4.5 million cap hit.

Lecavalier snagged an assist in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Islanders.

The assist gives him 20 points for the season, a stark total despite his injuries. His production has steadily declined over the last few seasons, and he's barely seeing over 10 minutes of ice time. The aging star doesn't have a bright future for fantasy owners.

Lecavalier potted his eighth goal of the season in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Pittsburgh.

It's the aging star's first goal since January 3 -- ending a 27-game drought. His 19 points in 53 games this season are a disappointment, and dynasty owners will have to decide to gamble on him in this upcoming campaign.

Lecavalier will return to the lineup Tuesday against the Stars, Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Lecavalier, who sat out the Flyers' last three games, will replace R.J. Umberger in the lineup and likely serve in a fourth-line capacity. Though he'll be back in action Tuesday, it's clear the Flyers aren't expecting much from the 34-year-old former star, who has been scratched 13 times already this season and has posted 17 points and a minus-9 rating over 46 games.

Lecavalier will return to the lineup Saturday against the Rangers, NHL.com's Adam Kimelman reports.

Lecavalier served as a healthy scratch for the Flyers' last four games, but will replace Zac Rinaldo on the team's fourth line Saturday. With merely 16 points and a minus-9 rating over 44 games this season, Lecavalier's decline has been even more rapid than anticipated. And it could get a lot worse from here, as he's still under contract for another three seasons.

Lecavalier assisted on both Flyer goals in Thursday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Isles.

This amounts to a breakout game by Lecavalier's modern standards, as he earned as many points Thursday as he had in his prior 12 outings combined. His name will keep him on the back end of fantasy rosters in deeper formats, but this just isn't the same guy anymore.

After scoring a goal in Saturday's loss to the Devils, Lecavalier extended his point streak to three games.

Banished to the press box for the first half of December, Lecavalier has provided a jolt since returning, netting five goals and an assist over nine games. That extent of production is unlikely to last for Lecavalier, but it will at least lock him back into the lineup for the foreseeable future.
