Fasth signed a one-year contract Thursday with CSKA Moscow of the KHL, Luke Fox of Sportsnet.ca reports. Fasth was a feel-good story during the lockout-shortened 2012-13 campaign, posting a 15-6-2 record, 2.18 GAA, and .921 save percentage over 25 games with the Ducks in what marked his first exposure to the NHL level. It's all been downhill for him since then, as health issues have plagued him for much of the last two seasons while his numbers regressed considerably as a member of the Oilers. With no NHL team seriously considering him for a backup gig, Fasth will head to the KHL to ply his trade. The goalie will turn 33 in August and seems a long shot to return to North America.

Fasth (knee) has been activated from injured reserve, Chris Wescott of edmontonoilers.com. reports. Although he hasn't played in a game since Feb. 16, Fasth will likely get the nod in Saturday's season finale against the Canucks. He'll be a free agent after the season, coming off a disappointing and injury-marred campaign.

Fasth (knee) could be ready to play in Saturday's season finale against the Canucks, Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal reports. Fasth appears to be nearing the finish line of his recovery from a knee injury suffered back on Feb. 16, as he's been skating with the team for the last few days. The Oilers want to reward Fasth for his hard work during the rehab process by giving him one more game before he hits free agency this summer, but he still may need to clear a couple more hurdles before that comes to fruition.

Fasth (knee) skated with the Oilers on Saturday morning, Jack Michaels of the Oilers Radio Network reports. Fasth's activity has been limited since suffering a knee injury in the middle of February, and it looks like Saturday's skate might have just been an effort on his part to get some conditioning work in. The netminder still being listed as out indefinitely by the Oilers, making it unlikely that he plays again this season with just one week remaining on the schedule.

Fasth (knee) is being listed as out indefinitely. With no timetable in place for his return, it appears safe to say that Fasth will not be activated from injured reserve when eligible Feb. 24. The Oilers will welcome back Ben Scrivens from a hamstring injury Wednesday against the Bruins, and he'll be in line to assume the bulk of the starts for the Oilers while Fasth remains out of commission. Richard Bachman will stick with Edmonton as Scrivens' backup.

Fasth (knee) was moved to injured reserve Wednesday. The severity of Fasth's injury is still unknown, but by virtue of his placement on IR, he's have to sit out the Oilers' next three games, as he won't be eligible for activation until Feb. 24. Ben Scrivens, who had been dealing with a hamstring injury, was activated from IR to assume Fasth's roster spot. Fasth has been plagued by injuries throughout his tenure with the Oilers and has been horrible in his 26 games with the team this season, going 6-15-3 with a 3.41 GAA and .888 save percentage.
