Myers (rest) will be out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Flames, NHL.com's Patrick Williams reports.

The Jets secured their spot in the playoffs earlier this week and will have the luxury of resting Myers, along with several other key regulars for a largely meaningless regular-season finale. Myers was instrumental in the Jets' run to the postseason, accruing three goals, 15 points, and a plus-9 rating over 24 games since coming over from the Sabres.

Myers was credited with an assist in Sunday's loss to the Blackhawks.

Consider Myers as Exhibit A for why playing in Buffalo can be so toxic to one's fantasy utility. After generated 13 points and a minus-15 rating over his 47 games with the Sabres earlier this season, Myers' production has done a 180 since he arrived in Winnipeg. He's already matched his point total from his previous team with three goals and 10 assists for the Jets, all coming in just 19 games and with a shiny plus-6 rating to boot. As a result, he's gone from waiver-wire flotsam to a must-own asset across most fantasy formats.

Myers (upper body) indicated that he should be good to go Tuesday against the Sharks, Darrin Bauming of TSN.ca reports.

Myers, who missed Saturday's game against the Lightning, thus hopes to return to the Jets' lineup after missing just one contest. The big blueliner has notched nine points in 12 games for Winnipeg since arriving in a trade with Buffalo last month.

Myers (upper body) will not play Saturday against the Lightning, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Myers wasn't able to take part in Saturday's morning skate, making it easy for the Jets to rule him out for the night. Coach Paul Maurice said the team hopes to have more knowledge on the severity of his injury when the team returns to Winnipeg in advance of Tuesday's game against the Sharks. It appears that a lengthy absence can't necessarily be ruled out at this juncture.

Coach Paul Maurice relayed that Myers' (upper body) status is up in the air for Saturday's game against the Lightning, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Maurice said he hadn't received an update on Myers' condition from team doctors, making the extent of his injury unknown for now. The Jets should have a better idea on Myers' availability by Saturday morning, but the team has already recalled Keaton Ellerby from AHL St. John's in the event the blueliner can't play.

Myers suffered an upper-body injury in Thursday's game against the Panthers and will not return.

Myers should be considered day-to-day until further news is released by the Jets. Looking ahead, Myers will likely be a game-time decision for Saturday's contest against the Lightning.

Myers tallied an assist in Tuesday's loss to the Blues, giving him a point in four straight games.

Myers' production has predictably been on the upswing since leaving the offensive graveyard of Buffalo in a mid-February trade. The big defenseman has recorded two goals and seven assists in 11 games with the Jets, which has led resulted in a surge in his ice time. He's covered 26 minutes in both of the Jets' last two games.

Myers bagged his sixth goal of the season in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Kings.

Myers has been maintaining an impressive scoring pace since joining the Jets, registering six points in eight games with his new club. The defenseman may not be able to stay at that pace, but he should reward fantasy owners with a continued uptick in offensive production on the playoff contending Jets.

The Jets are hoping Myers can continue to provide some key offensive production from the blue line, Gary Lawless of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.Lawless believes that "A big part of what Myers will be expected to do in Winnipeg is get in position to receive passes from (Toby) Enstrom and then create offence. Enstrom needs a finisher and that is now the responsibility of Myers." Lawless went on to note that "Enstrom is an elite passer and Myers has a stinging shot and the ability to get it through." Myers has already tallied three points in just his first three games as a Jet. He's averaging more than 22 minutes of ice time per game with his new club, and has also found a spot on Winnipeg's second power-play unit. Fantasy owners can expect a noticeable, if not significant, uptick in production from Myers going forward. It seems as though a change in scenery was just what the former Calder Trophy winner needed.
