Daley underwent hip surgery last Thursday and is expected to require 3-to-4 months of recovery time, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.

The Stars didn't indicate Daley was due for any procedures during their after-season injury report, but it looks like he'll spend most of his summer off the ice while he recuperates. He's expected to be ready to go by the time training camp begins in September, and should enter the upcoming season as a useful option from the blue line across most fantasy formats. His 16 goals during the past season ranked fifth among all NHL defensemen.

Daley recorded an assist and went plus-1 in Monday's 5-1 win over the Sharks.

After going minus-8 over his previous three games, Daley finally finished on the positive side of the ledger Monday. Though his overall minus-16 mark for the season represents something of a drag, Daley more than makes up for it with the ample offense he produces from the blueline. His 16 goals on the year place him near the top of the league lead among defensemen, and his 21 assists aren't too shabby of a total either.

Daley returned to the lineup Saturday, collecting two assists in 24:19 of ice time in Saturday's win over Vancouver.

Daley had been out since March 3 with a knee injury, but returned in a big way Saturday, helping the Stars pick up their fifth win in six games. Daley now has 35 points in 62 games and appears back to full health. With 16 goals on the season, including six power-play tallies, Daley is worth adding if he's available.

Daley (knee) will return to the lineup Saturday against the Canucks, Elliott Pap of the Vancouver Sun reports.

It will be Daley's first game since March 3, when he suffered a knee injury following a hit from the Isles' Matt Martin. While his return probably comes too late to help the Stars chase down a wild-card spot in the Western Conference, Daley should bolster many fantasy rosters with postseason play underway in many leagues. Despite the missed time, Daley's 16 goals still rank him tied for third among all NHL defensemen.

Daley (knee) isn't expected to return to the lineup Friday against the Oilers.

The Stars believed that Daley would be able to play before the end of the team's three-game road trip, but it appears that might not happen until Saturday in Vancouver, if at all. The defenseman has been able to skate for a while now, though it's not clear if he's been able to get in enough contact work in yet to earn his way back in the lineup.

Daley (knee) could be ready to play at some point during the Stars' three-game road trip that begins Wednesday in Calgary, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.

Daley has been skating for about a week now, and seems to be close to stepping up his involvement in practice in the near future. While Daley doesn't seem likely to suit up against the Flames, he may only require a couple hard skates before he's deemed ready to play in either or both of Friday's games against the Oilers and Saturday's tilt with the Canucks.

Daley (knee) skated on his own prior to Tuesday's practice, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.

The Stars ruled Daley out for 2-to-4 weeks after he absorbed a knee-to-knee hit in a Mar. 3 game against the Islanders, but it appears the long end of that timetable looks like the more realistic return date for the blueliner. Coach Lindy Ruff indicated after Tuesday's session that Daley is now being viewed as 5-to-10 days away from a return, with the Stars first waiting for him to resume practicing with the team. That could happen before the end of the week.

Coach Lindy Ruff announced Thursday that Daley (lower body) would miss the next 2-to-4 weeks, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Daley was on the receiving end of a vicious knee-to-knee hit from the Isles' Matt Martin in the first period of Tuesday's match, which sent Daley to the locker room and earned Martin a one-game suspension. The loss of Daley, whose 16 goals on the season rank second among all blueliners, is yet another blow for a squad that is already missing its top player in Tyler Seguin (knee). In Daley's absence, Jordie Benn, Jyrki Jokipakka, and Patrik Nemeth will be guaranteed regular spots in the Dallas lineup, though none of those options possess nearly the same amount of offensive upside.

Daley, who absorbed a knee-on-knee hit Tuesday against the Islanders, could be out for "weeks," according to coach Lindy Ruff, the Dallas Morning News reports.

We'll look for a more precise timetable for Daley in the coming days, but at the very least, it seems safe to assume that the blueliner -- who has 33 points in 61 games to date -- won't play Thursday against the Panthers.

Daley exited Tuesday's game against the Islanders with a lower-body injury.

The Stars are labeling Daley as questionable to return, but it appears he's done for the night after succumbing to the ailment in his second shift of the night. The injury occurred when Daley took a knee-to-knee hit from the Isles' Matt Martin, who was assessed a five-minute major and 10-minute game misconduct penalties and ejected from the game. Daley, who is tied for second among blueliners this season with 16 goals, should be viewed as day-to-day until the Stars provide an update on his condition.
