Moen announced his retirement from the NHL on Tuesday, Marc Antoine Godin of Montreal's La Presse reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moen, a journeyman, officially hangs up his skates after 12 years in the league. He produced 136 points (59 goals, 77 assists) in 747 career games. While he consistently played in the bottom six, Moen earned his paycheck as a low-maintenance role player, and he brought size to the lineup at 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds. The 34-year-old retires as a member of the Stars.

Moen (wrist) has yet to receive a contract offer from an NHL club.
EDGE Analysis
Moen's 2015-16 campaign ended prematurely when he broke his wrist in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Blues, and it appears as though that may have very well been the final contest of the 34-year-old winger's NHL career. The 2000 fifth-round pick is now presumably healthy, but evidently hasn't attracted much interest from any forward-needy NHL clubs. If Moen isn't ready to hang up the skates, he may have to head overseas to continue his professional hockey career.

The injury that Moen sustained in Game 5 against the Blues has been specified as a broken wrist.
EDGE Analysis
Moen reportedly has a cast for the injury that prevented him from playing in Games 6 and 7. Of course, even when he was on the ice in the postseason, the role was not substantial. He only averaged 6:43 of ice time in six contests.

Moen (undisclosed) will not be able to rejoin Dallas for the remainder of the playoffs, Mark Stepneski of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moen suffered an undisclosed injury during Saturday's Game 5. In his absence, Colton Sceviour will likely continue to see ice time at left wing.

Moen will be out of the lineup for Monday's Game 6 against the Blues with an undisclosed injury, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moen has been relatively unanimous on the ice during this series as he has averaged a meager 6:11 in ice time per night in the previous five meeting with St. Louis. With a paltry two assists on the year, fantasy owners should be unaffected by the veteran's absence. What limited additional minutes will be available will likely be picked up by Colton Sceviour.

Moen (lower body) is no longer listed on the IR, per the NHL's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
Moen missed about three weeks with the injury, but he's now received a clean bill of health and will rejoin the club. It's unclear what the winger's role will be, as he's laced up in just 18 games this season -- recording only two points in that span -- so he likely won't see too much time on the ice even when healthy.

Moen (lower body) will likely miss Tuesday's contest against Winnipeg, Stars play-by-play announcer Dave Strader reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moen hasn't played much this season, but he had been the top candidate to replace Patrick Eaves (illness, expected to miss) in Tuesday's lineup. It appears that Radek Faksa will draw into the lineup in Eaves' place.

Moen (lower body) may return to the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Jets. If not then, he would slot back in Thursday versus the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Even when healthy and in the lineup, Moen has averaged just 7:48 of ice time in total this season, tallying just two points in 18 games. He shouldn't be considered in most fantasy circles, but would likely replace Patrick Eaves (illness, expected to miss) in Tuesday's lineup if he can play.

Moen (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Moen is dealing with a lower-body injury that will now at least cost him the Stars' next four games, as he won't be eligible to return to action until next Saturday against Boston. The Stars will likely recall a forward from their AHL affiliate to round out their depth up front while Moen is sidelined.

Coach Lindy Ruff said Friday that Moen (lower body) could be out "for a little while," reports Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News.
EDGE Analysis
With no goals and two assists through 18 games this season, Moen's fantasy value isn't particularly high as it stands. He's been scratched and marginalized for most of the season, averaging a career-low ice time of 7:48. There are better options than Moen on waivers or at a comparable price in daily.
