Baertschi was reassigned to AHL Utica on Monday.

The 22-year-old skated for the Canucks in two games during the team's first-round playoff series against the Flames, his former organization. He didn't make much of an impact while seeing a grand total of 19:19 of action across the two games, but should be primed to receive heavier minutes for Utica, who is in the midst of a first-round series of its own against Chicago.

With Alex Burrows out for Tuesday's Game 4 against Calgary, Baertschi appears poised to make his NHL playoff debut.

The 22-year-old was recalled from AHL Utica earlier Tuesday, and with Burrows out, Baertschi is now a candidate to suit up against the team that dealt him to the Canucks on March 2. Baertschi, who notched four helpers in 15 games for Calgary prior to the deal, recorded two goals in three regular season games for Vancouver.

Baertschi, who was recalled from AHL Utica on Tuesday, will likely be a healthy scratch for Tuesday's Game 4 against the Flames, TSN 1040 AM's Matthew Sekeres reports.

It seems Baertschi was recalled as insurance for Alex Burrows, who is expected to play through an undisclosed injury suffered during Tuesday's morning skate. If Burrows takes a turn for the worse and can't suit up, Baertschi could join the lineup.

Baertschi was recalled from AHL Utica on Tuesday.

Baertschi, who notched two goals in three games with Vancouver this past season after arriving in a trade with Calgary in March, will bolster the Canucks' depth up front in advance of Tuesday's Game 4 against the Flames.

Baertschi was assigned to AHL Utica on Sunday, the Province reports.

Baertschi -- who notched two goals in Saturday's win over the Oilers -- heads back to the AHL for now, which hints that some combo of Shawn Matthias, Zack Kassian and Brad Richardson figures to be available for the Canucks' playoff opener on Wednesday.

Baertschi scored his first two goals in a Vancouver uniform in Saturday's win over the Oilers.

Baertschi has just played two games with the Canucks this season, but he's already making a good first impression. After putting up just 26 points in 66 games with the Flames, the 22-year-old was in need of a change of scenery. He's got some great offensive potential, but it's unknown if the youngster will be in the lineup for Game 1 of the playoffs against his former team Wednesday.

Baertschi was recalled from AHL Utica on Friday.

Baertschi, who was traded from the Flames to the Canucks in March, will get his first chance in the NHL with his new organization. He has 13 points in 12 games for AHL Utica since the trade, but he only has 28 points through 66 career NHL games.

Baertschi was traded to the Canucks on Monday in exchange for a future second-round pick, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.

A former first-round selection by the Flames in 2011, Baertschi made the NHL squad out of training camp in 2013-14 but wasn't able to maintain a spot after tallying 11 points over 26 games. He failed to break camp with the Flames this season and didn't make much of his opportunity when injuries resulted in his promotion to the big club. His pedigree still made him intriguing to many organizations, so the Flames decided to part with him before his value completely bottomed out. Still only 22 years old, Baertschi could unlock his full potential with the move to the Canucks, though he'll likely have to prove himself at AHL Utica first.

Baertschi was reassigned to AHL Adirondack on Thursday, Scott Cruickshank of the Calgary Herald reports.

Baertschi had appeared in just one of the Flames' five games since his Jan. 26 call-up. With Curtis Glencross due to return next week, Baertschi's chances of finding ice time would have grown even more scarce. Moving the winger to the minors will allow him to see more consistent duty.

The Flames have recalled Baertschi from AHL Adirondack, the team's official site reports.

Baertschi -- who was sent to Adirondack (where he has recorded 17 points in 28 games) back in December -- has notched three helpers in 14 games with the big club to date. He'll bolster the Flames' depth at left wing following the team's return from the NHL's All-Star break.
