Stamkos stayed hot Friday, scoring for the third straight game in a Game 4 loss to the Rangers.

While it was another strong performance from Stamkos, the Bolts fell 5-1 to the Rangers in the game, bringing their best-of-seven series to a 2-2 tie. The 25-year-old has now scored in five of his last six games and is up to 15 points in the playoffs -- fifth most in the NHL. He's fired four shots on goal in back-to-back outings and is the first Lightning player to score in 3 straight playoff games since Sean Bergenheim did so in 2011. While Stammer had a slow start to the postseason, he's in full throttle now and will play a key part in determining whether Tampa Bay advances onto the Stanley Cup Final.

Stamkos notched his fifth goal of the postseason and added an assist in Wednesdays's wild 6-5 OT win over the Rangers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

After a slow start, he's now tied for fourth in postseason scoring with 14 points. He was the best Bolt on the ice again Wednesday, playing a dominant, 200-foot game -- exactly what you want and need from your captain and best player.

Stamkos notched a goal and an assist -- both on the power play -- in Monday's Game 2 win over the Rangers.

Stamkos chipped in to a productive Bolts power play that netted three goals on the night, including one the captain put in himself on a re-direct in front of the net. Ever since his slow start in the first round, Stamkos has gotten back to his usually reliable level of productive as he's tallied nine points in the past seven games.

Coach Jon Cooper moved Stamkos to right wing the last two games of the series against the Canadiens and it gave him more time and space to execute. "He elevated his game," said Cooper. "He didn't put his tail between his legs and say, Move me back to center.' He said let's do what is best for the team and it would be hard to say that he wasn't one of our best players tonight [Game 6]."

He now has points in five consecutive games and goals in two straight. He'd gone without a goal in seven games against Detroit. The move allowed him to really use his speed along the wall. It remains to be seen what Cooper does with him against the Rangers, but at minimum, the move appears to have woken up his offensive game and that's good enough for us.

Stamkos was present at Tuesday's morning skate, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Bay Tribune reports.

Stamkos and Brian Boyle missed Monday's practice, but both were on the ice Tuesday morning and should be good to go for Game 6. Stamkos has two goals and four assists through the first five games of the series.

Stamkos scored the Lightning's only goal in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Canadiens.

After a quiet postseason against the Wings, Stammer has gone on a four-game, six-point streak that includes two goals. He'll need to crank it up at home Tuesday in Game 6 to send the Habs to the golf course.

Stamkos had an assist and two penalty minutes against the Canadiens in a Game 3 win Wednesday.

Stamkos struggled against the Red Wings, but he has four points against Montreal, and the Lightning are all but guaranteed to move on. If Stamkos has found his footing, he should have at least one more series in which to contribute.

Stamkos scored his first goal of the postseason and added two assists in Sunday's 6-2 win over Montreal in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semi-final series.

The monkey is finally off his back. The goal was a beaut -- he deked Carey Price so badly the goalie's jock was left lying in the crease. OK, that's a bit of a stretch, but he did lay out some wicked moves to get it past Price. His two helpers came on the power play where the Bolts actually got four of their goals. The Habs will need to do something to contain Stammer -- he sure looks like he's found his game.

Stamkos' postseason struggles continued Saturday. He had just two shots in a 4-0 loss and has just one assist in five games.

He's been largely tied in knots by the Wings' Pavel Datsyuk and that will become even more prominent when the series returns to Detroit for Game 6. The league's second-highest regular-season goal scorer (43) is clearly frustrated and the rest of his team will need to carry the load if they are to advance.

Stamkos remains without a goal this postseason after the Wings shut out the Lightning in Game 3 of their opening-round series on Tuesday night.

Coach Jon Cooper was moving him around on the power play, ostensibly to get him going. But that movement took him away from the half wall which is his bread and butter location. The Bolts PP has been pathetic and the team is now down 2-1 in the series. Cooper needs to get Stammer back to the spot that made him successful. And soon.
