Stamkos scored his first goal of the postseason and added two assists in Sunday's 6-2 win over Montreal in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semi-final series.

The monkey is finally off his back. The goal was a beaut -- he deked Carey Price so badly the goalie's jock was left lying in the crease. OK, that's a bit of a stretch, but he did lay out some wicked moves to get it past Price. His two helpers came on the power play where the Bolts actually got four of their goals. The Habs will need to do something to contain Stammer -- he sure looks like he's found his game.

Stamkos' postseason struggles continued Saturday. He had just two shots in a 4-0 loss and has just one assist in five games.

He's been largely tied in knots by the Wings' Pavel Datsyuk and that will become even more prominent when the series returns to Detroit for Game 6. The league's second-highest regular-season goal scorer (43) is clearly frustrated and the rest of his team will need to carry the load if they are to advance.

Stamkos remains without a goal this postseason after the Wings shut out the Lightning in Game 3 of their opening-round series on Tuesday night.

Coach Jon Cooper was moving him around on the power play, ostensibly to get him going. But that movement took him away from the half wall which is his bread and butter location. The Bolts PP has been pathetic and the team is now down 2-1 in the series. Cooper needs to get Stammer back to the spot that made him successful. And soon.

Stamkos picked up two assists in Saturday's 5-1 win over Detroit. The points are his first of the postseason.

The Bolts are remarkably deep, so they spread the offensive wealth around. Stammer will have his share of points by the time his team is done.

Stamkos scored a power-play goal in Thursday's overtime win over New Jersey. It was his 43rd goal of the season and he has four points, including three goals, in his last two games.

He's tied with Tyler Johnson for the team lead in points (72) and he sits alone in second place in the NHL in goals. He could add to those numbers with one game remaining, unless the Bolts decide to rest their stars for the postseason.

Stamkos scored twice, including once on the power play, and added an assist in Saturday's 4-0 win over Florida on Saturday night. The power-play marker stood up as the game winner.

The goals are actually his first in eight games and he only had two assists in his previous seven games. But he is now tied with Rick Nash for second on the goal-scoring list with 42.

Stamkos set up the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 4-3 win over Florida.

He has five points in his last four games and 67 on the season. He's tied with Tyler Johnson at the top of the Bolts' scoring list and they both sit just outside the league's top-10 scorers. You know what to do.

Stamkos took on Brad Marchand in a fight in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Bruins.

Marchand had been running around a bit too much and laid a questionable hit on Valtteri Filppula. Stamkos stepped in and took him on. Stammer has just 45 PIM on the season, so this was a real rarity.

Stamkos had two goals and added an assist in Monday's win over Montreal. He now has 39 goals on the season, which ties him with Rick Nash for second in the NHL.

The first one came after a gift pass from the Habs' Max Pacioretty, who foolishly passed the puck back into his own zone where it was stolen by Stamkos who made no mistake with the gift. The second came on the power play into an empty net. He's now tied with Tyler Johnson for the team lead in points (65). #nhlstud.

Stamkos scored his 37th goal of the season in Thursday's shootout loss to the Bruins. He remains third on the NHL's goal-scorer's list.

He also received a 10-minute misconduct for pitching his stick over the glass. He broke his twig in OT and tossed it behind him; it went over the low glass. The misconduct increased his PIM total by a whopping 33 percent on the season.
