Kesler netted a goal and fired off three shots in his 27:16 of ice time in Saturday's Game 4 double-overtime loss to the Blackhawks.

Kesler has been mostly effective this series in limiting the impact of Jonathan Toews, even though the Blackhawks center did record two points in Game 4. However, Kesler at least mitigated the damage by scoring his first point of the series, while kicking off a string of three unanswered goals in a 37-second span. The Ducks wouldn't be able to parlay that third-period surge into a victory, but their fortunes could change when the series shifts to Anaheim on Monday for Game 5.

Kesler ran his assist streak to three games after recording a helper in Friday's Game 4 triumph over the Flames.

Though the Ducks have whipped both of their two opponents in the postseason thus far and have played only eight games, Kesler has still returned plenty of value for those that rolled the dice on him in playoff pools. He's notched an impressive three goals, five assists, and plus-3 rating through the first two rounds, with one of those goals representing the series clincher against the Jets.

Kesler netted two goals in Wednesday's 5-2 Game 4 win in Winnipeg.

After not hitting the scoresheet in Game 1, Kesler recorded points in the next three games of the Ducks' first round series with the Jets. Kesler is doing exactly what he was brought in by Anaheim to do -- providing some very welcome secondary scoring when it matters most. He has five points in the playoffs thus far.

Kesler contributed a goal and an assist to his team's Game 3 win over the Jets on Monday.

Kesler also picked up a penalty for Roughing, further aiding fantasy owners in playoff pools that have time spent in the Sin Bin as a scoring category. The 30-year-old center has three points in as many playoff games after logging 20 goals and 27 assists in the regular season.

Kesler (elbow) will return to the lineup Friday against the Avalanche, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Kesler sat out Wednesday's triumph over the Oilers, but his absence seemed to be rest-related more so than out of concern about the health of his elbow. He'll slide back in as a member of the Ducks' second line, where he's expected to center Tomas Fleischmann and Kyle Palmieri.

Coach Bruce Boudreau said that he expects Kesler (elbow) to return to the lineup Friday against the Avalanche, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Kesler missed his first game of the season Wednesday against the Oilers while nursing the elbow injury, but his absence was believed to be for precautionary purposes more than anything else. Barring any sort of setback during Friday's morning skate, expect Kesler to reclaim his usual spot on the Ducks' second line.

Kesler (elbow) will not play Wednesday against the Oilers, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Kesler (elbow) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's tilt with the Oilers.

Kesler was on the ice for Wednesday's morning skate, but coach Bruce Boudreau was tight-lipped about the center's status for the evening. Given that the Oilers are one of the NHL's weakest teams, it might make sense for the Ducks to give Kesler the night off to preserve his body for the playoffs. An official decision on his status should come down based on how the Ducks line up during pregame warmups.
