Mueller has been assigned to Chicago of the AHL, according to Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Mueller will provide the Blues with some skilled depth in the minors in the event of an injury.

Mueller last played in the NHL in 2012-13, but he appears to be healthy and at 26 years-old could have something left.
