Bissonnette was released from his PTO with the Kings on Saturday, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reports.
EDGE Analysis
This move hardly comes as a surprise, as Bissonnete never had much of a chance of cracking the Kings' Opening Night roster. He will spend the 2015-16 season with AHL Manchester, where he will bring an element of physicality to the squad.

Bissonnette signed Wednesday with the Kings on an AHL deal, Dhiren Mahiban of The Canadian Press reports. Bissonnete will report to the Kings' new affiliate in Ontario after accruing seven points and 167 PIM in 48 games for AHL Manchester last season. The 30-year-old brings a physical edge, but his style of play doesn't translate very well to today's NHL.

Bissonnette has inked a new tryout deal with the Kings' AHL affiliate in Manchester, James Mirtle of The Globe and Mail reports. Bissonnette was released from his tryout deal with the Coyotes' affiliate in Portland earlier in the day, but it didn't take long for him to latch on with another club. He'll need to be more impressive with Manchester than he was in his eight games in Portland in order to land a contract with the Kings.

Bissonnette signed with the Cardiff Devils of Great Britain's Elite Ice Hockey League on Friday, Andrew Allsman of KMOV.com reports. Bissonnette had attempted to win a roster spot with the Blues on a tryout during training camp, but a groin pull dashed his hopes. With no other NHL suitors expressing interest in bringing him aboard, BizNasty will now take his physical, agitating brand of hockey across the pond.

Bissonnette was released on Saturday from his professional tryout offer with the Blues, NHL.com's Lou Korac reports. Bissonnette suffered a groin pull in training camp that prevented him from skating Saturday, thereby ending his chances of cracking on the Opening Night roster. He'll take some time to heal up before pursuing an opportunity either in the mionrs or internationally.

Phoenix forward Paul Bissonnette scored only his second goal of the season in the Coyotes' 4-2 loss to the visiting St. Louis Blues Sunday night. Jeff Halpern, Bissonnette's linemate on the Coyotes' fourth line, also scored -- only his third of the season. Halpern's goal gave Phoenix a 2-0 lead but the Blues rallied back with four goals in the third period for the victory.

Phoenix Coyotes coach Dave Tippett has been very happy with the team's fourth line of Jeff Halpern, Kyle Chipchura, and Paul Bissonnette. "You know what, it's been very strong and it's been for about the last six, seven games," Tippett said, referring to the fourth line. "We've rotated a guy in and out and Bissonnette, he's been in and out a little, but the two constants have been Halpern and Chipchura. They've really got a good chemistry going together." Tippett added that Bissonnette had a particularly good game on Tuesday. Bissonnette still ended up last on the team with just 7:57 minutes of ice time, but that's partially because he got a minor and misconduct penalty early in the third period.

Paul Bissonnette scored for the Coyotes in their 3-1 loss to the Hurricanes on Saturday night. It would normally be a good sign for Phoenix that Bissonnette scored, but it's not one when he's the only goal scorer. This was the tough guy's first goal since Nov. 19, 2011, according to Arizona Central's Sarah McLellan. He now has a goal, six points and 11 penalty minutes in 20 games, while averaging less than five minutes of ice time per night. Jeff Halpern and Connor Murphy notched the assists.

Last season, it took wing Paul Bissonnette 10 games before he registered a point but this season, he had an assist in only his second game and added another helper the next game to already eclipse his point total in two of the past three seasons. "It's a big year for me," Bissonnette said. "I want to stay here. I want to play here for a long time. Now I've got to show I'm capable of being an everyday guy." Bissonnette is in the final year of his contract, but he's been a regular ever since he was eligible to return from suspension Oct. 10. Extra skating, especially with development coach Dave King, during his three-game suspension, helped his transition back into the lineup.
