Smith will play for Canada at the upcoming World Championships, reports Sarah McLellan of AZ Central.

Smith is coming off a tough year in which he posted just a 3.14 goals against and .904 save percentage - both marks the worst he has produced in his four years in Arizona. The team in front of him was truly terrible (the Coyotes gave up more than 200 shots more than they took at even strength this year) and Smith couldn't make up the difference. Perhaps time at the Worlds playing with a stronger cast will help him to put this season behind him.

Smith made 36 save on 38 shots in Saturday's loss to the Ducks.

A great final outing for Smith, who finishes the season 14-42-5 with a .904 save percentage and 3.16 GAA. His save percentage improved over the season, but unfortunately with the Coyotes losing so often, Smith wasn't of much fantasy value. With some promising young talent in the Arizona organization, Smith is likely to see his win total increase significantly in the coming years.

Smith will be between the pipes for Saturday's game against the Ducks, Craig Morgan of FOX Sports Arizona reports.

The Coyotes' hopes of finishing with the league's worst record were dashed after the Sabres lost Friday against the Blue Jackets, but even if tanking is off the table, don't expect the Coyotes to rise to the occasion here. The Ducks are poised to finish with the best record in the Western Conference, while Smith enters the crease with a horrid 14-41-5 record to go along with an equally poor 3.18 GAA and .903 save percentage. Smith's terrible season could lead the Coyotes to explore other options in goal heading into 2015-16.

Smith was responsible for the first four goals of Thursday's 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Vancouver. He made 20 saves before being pulled late in the second period.

In a season of misery, what's another loss? This one was No. 41 in the count for the season, and the 10th loss Smith has taken in his last 13 outings. The offseason can't come soon enough for him and the Coyotes.

Smith will be between the pipes for Thursday's game against the Canucks, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.

Smith has posted save percentages above .900 in 12 of his last 14 outings, but has won on just four of those occasions, with three of those coming in overtime or a shootout. Simply put, Smith can't catch a break even when he's playing well, as there's not enough offensive talent around him to keep him in contention for victories most nights. Don't put much faith in Smith during the Coyotes' final two games of the season.

Smith stopped 29 of 32 shots Tuesday in a 3-2 loss to Calgary.

Smith had been on something of a hot streak by his standards, with three wins in his last five outings, but with this loss, he became the first goalie to absorb 40 regulation defeats in a season since Marc Denis dropped 41 in 2002-03 for the Blue Jackets. Ouch.

Smith is in line to start Tuesday's road game against the Flames, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.

Smith, who stopped 42 of 45 shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over San Jose, heads into Tuesday's contest with an 0-3-0 mark against the Flames this season, to go along with a 4.05 GAA and .833 save percentage in that span.

Smith was outstanding Saturday, stopping 42 of 45 shots in a win over San Jose.

The Coyotes may be well out of the playoff picture and piling up the losses, but Smith has been playing very well of late, stopping 149 of the last 160 shots he's faced (.931 save percentage). The 33-year-old's 14-39-5 record this season is awful, but if you're looking for some decent rate stats in these final few games, Smith could be your man.

Smith will be between the pipes for the second half of the Coyotes' back-to-back set Saturday in Arizona, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.

Louis Domingue will lead things off Friday night to afford Smith a measure of rest. Smith's play has improved over the last month or so, but he's still upholding a putrid ratios (3.14 GAA, .904 save percentage) to match his equally toxic 13-39-5 record. It's hard to trust him on any given night.

Smith made 32 of 34 saves in a 4-1 loss to the Sabres on Monday. The other two goals were empty-netters.

The nightmare season continues for Smith, who -- despite making 75 saves the last two games -- came away the loser in each. His save percentage (.904) and GAA (3.14) are both disastrous and close to the worst of his nine-year career, and his 13 wins in 57 starts gives him his worst winning percentage since he won 13 in 36 starts in 2009-10 with Tampa Bay.
