With Ottawa now trailing Montreal 3-2 in the first round, look for Hoffman to have another strong outing in Game 6 Sunday at the Canadian Tire Center.

Hoffman scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Canadiens.

Hoffman was wide open at the top of the circle midway through the third period, and wristed one past Carey Price with Mika Zibanejad providing a screen in front. That would turn out to be the game's only tally, so Hoffman's first NHL playoff point went on to be the game winner.

Hoffman potted his 27th goal of the season and attempted six shots in Tuesday's overtime win over the Penguins.

The goal ended a four-game point drought for Hoffman, who has 48 points overall in 77 games this season. His goal total still leads the Senators, while his plus-16 rating ranks third behind Marc Methot and Mark Stone. That's quite an impressive amount of production for a player who often served as a healthy scratch during the first month of the season.

Hoffman registered an empty-net goal and two assists in Monday's 5-2 win over the Sharks.

Hoffman had been in the midst of a dry spell following three points in the first four games of March as he then failed to work his way on to the scoresheet in six straight, but he appears to have snapped out of it as he's now tallied two goals and two assists in the past two games. The 25-year-old is now up to 46 points on the season, and figures to be a reliable option down the stretch now that's he's seemingly ended his brief cold spell.

Hoffman scored his 24th goal of the season and had six shots on goal in Sunday's win over the Flames.

Hoffman continues to roll and has only been held off the scoresheet twice in his last 13 games. Considering he's producing at close to a point-per-game pace of late and sports an impressive plus-24 rating, there is no reason the 25-year-old shouldn't be in your lineup every game.

Hoffman recorded an assist in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Canadiens. It extends Hoffman's point streak to a season-high five games, while also bringing his total production to five goals and six assists over his last 11 contests. Hoffman leads the Senators in both goals (20) and plus/minus rating (plus-20) and should continue to excel at a high rate while he remains on a line with Mika Zibanejad and Bobby Ryan.

Hoffman recorded an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 7-2 trouncing of the Oilers. It took 51 games, but Hoffman finally notched his first power-play point of the season. While Hoffman's lack of proficiency in that regard has dimmed his appeal in leagues that award bonus points for power-play scoring, on the flip side, his extreme productivity at 5-on-5 play has allowed him to uphold a plus-17 rating for the season. That's no small accomplishment on a team with a .500 record.

Hoffman gathered an assist and attempted three shots in Thursday's loss to the Capitals.

Hoffman has stringed together a three-game point streak, marking the third time this season he's achieved that feat. The 25-year-old's absence of power-play points hurts him in formats that reward special teams productivity, but he's unarguably been a pleasant surprise for the Senators this year. After logging only six appearances in the season's first month, Hoffman has established himself as a lineup regular since the start of November. His 17 goals rank tops on the team.

Hoffman had a hand in each of the Sens' first two scores in Wednesday's win over the Maple Leafs, netting of his own and assisting on Erik Karlsson's marker in the 4-3 triumph.

The 25-year-old has been the Sens' top sniper this season with 16 goals, though he incredibly still hasn't tallied a power-play point. He's not much of an asset outside of the scoring categories and plus/minus, but his offensive skills are typically harder to find on the waiver wire.
