Rozsival will miss the rest of the season with a left ankle fracture, ESPN Chicago reports.

It's hardly a surprise, as the injury Rozsival suffered in the second period of Thursday's Game 4 against the Wild was gruesome to say the least. Rozsival's 2014-2015 campaign is over, and his career could be as well, as the 36-year-old defender is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

Rozsival, who suffered an apparent leg injury during Thursday's Game 4 game against Minnesota, could be out for an extensive period of time.

In response to a question after the Game 4 victory over the Wild, Hawks' coach Joel Quenneville said that 'it doesn't look good' in terms of Rozsival's injury. An inconsistent lineup spot coupled with a lack of offensive ability have prevented Rozsival from delivering much fantasy utility this season. In 64 games, the aging blueliner has 12 points, 103 hits, 22 PIM, and a minus-1 rating.

Rozsival dished out two assists and finished with a plus-3 rating in Monday's 5-2 win over the Hurricanes.

Rozsival had been a healthy scratch each of the last two contests, which apparently motivated him enough to turn in his first multi-point effort of the season in his first game back in the lineup. While it was likely his best night of the season, the 36-year-old has just 10 points through 43 games, so his fantasy value is restricted to the deepest of formats.

Rozsival will serve as a healthy scratch for Friday's game against the Lightning, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun Times reports.

Rozsival will give way to Tim Erixon for the second straight night, as coach Joel Quenneville sticks with the lineup that came away with an impressive 3-0 victory over the Panthers on Thursday. Even when he's been a regular skater this season, Rozsival hasn't provided much in the way of fantasy value, as his eight points and 18 PIM would illustrate.
