Coach Jon Cooper indicated he expects Carle (undisclosed) to play in Sunday's Game 5 matchup with the Lightning, Bryan Burns of NHL.com reports.

Carle left Game 3 on Wednesday after taking a hit midway through the first period, and it cost him Friday's Game 4 as well. He participated in morning skate Sunday, and it appears that may be a precursor to him taking the ice with his teammates for Game 5.

Carle (undisclosed) is out for Friday night's Game 3 against the Rangers, per the Lightning's Michelle Gingras.

It's hard to say what direction Jon Cooper will take with his lineup, as the Ottawa Sun's Don Brennan reports there's a possibility Tampa Bay will have seven defenders for Game 3. It's still hard to say when Carle will return, given there's still been no real indication how he's exactly injured.

Carle (undisclosed) was not present at morning skate Friday, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.

Carle departed Wednesday's Game 3 with an undisclosed injury and did not return. The team has not released any information surrounding the situation, so Carle should be considered questionable for Game 4 on Friday.

Carle assisted on Steven Stamkos' game-winning (and series-winning) goal in Tuesday's Game 6 victory over the Canadiens.

Carle's production has been largely muted since he returned from a hip injury in mid-March. In his 26 games since, Carle has failed to score a goal and has picked up only six helpers.

Carle dished out a pair of assists in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Bruins.

Carle skated just 17:38 as he continues to see somewhat limited ice time since returning from a hip injury that cost him 22 contests, but he's now notched three points in four games since coming back. The 30-year-old could see an increase in ice time as he shakes off the rust, but with just 17 points on the season, the defenseman doesn't hold much fantasy value outside of deeper formats.

Get him back in there if you use him with regularity.

Carle (hip) has been activated from injured reserve and will play Saturday against the Jets, Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Carle, who has missed the last two months following abdominal surgery, has been practicing for the last several days and should be in line for his usual 20 minutes of ice time upon returning. His return comes at a convenient time for the Bolts, who lost trade-deadline acquisition Braydon Coburn (lower body) for 4-to-6 weeks just a few days earlier. Carle is slated to pair up with Jason Garrison on Saturday.
