Falk signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Blue Jackets on Friday, NHL.com reports.

The 26-year-old appeared in 18 games for the Blue Jackets and Wild in 2014-15, tallying one goal, one assist and 14 penalty minutes. Falk, who was acquired from Minnesota in early-March, will likely split time between the NHL and AHL again next season. "Justin is a good, young defenseman who was a solid addition to our hockey club late last season and we are pleased that he will continue to be a part of our group on the blue line next season," Columbus GM Jarmo Kekalainen said.

Falk scored a goal and added an assist in 13:23 of ice time in Friday's win over New Jersey.

Falk has contributed fantasy wise in two games with his new team, notching five PIM and five shots on goal. While he's not known much for his offense, Falk could put some decent fantasy numbers in Columbus depending on his role. While he isn't seeing any power-play time, if Faulk can continue seeing decent minutes overall, he could be worth checking out in very deep leagues.

Falk, who was acquired from the Wild prior to Monday's trade deadline, will stick with the Blue Jackets rather than reporting to AHL Springfield, Shawn Mitchell of the Columbus Dispatch reports.

With the Blue Jackets shipping out two blueliners at the deadline (James Wisniewski and Jordan Leopold), an opening will exist for Falk to stick with the parent club, likely for the rest of the season. He's expected to be in the lineup Tuesday against the Capitals, but don't expect him to deliver much use as a likely third-pairing defender. He was held without a point and put 10 shots on goal in his 13 games with the Wild earlier this season.

The Blue Jackets acquired Falk and a 2015 fifth-round pick Monday in exchange for defenseman Jordan Leopold, Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch reports.

The 26-year-old was held without a point in his 13 games with the Wild earlier this season and hasn't shown much scoring ability at the minor-league level, either. Falk is expected to report to AHL Springfield with his new organization, though it's possible that he may be added to the parent club at some point to serve as a depth defenseman.

The Wild have assigned Falk to AHL Iowa.

Falk, who the team activated from IR, passed through waivers, and thus heads back to the AHL, where he has recorded four points and 26 PIM in 21 games for Iowa this season.

Falk (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Wednesday and placed on waivers.

With no open spots on the blue line for the Wild, Falk will be waived for the purpose of reassignment to AHL Iowa. Falk figures to go unclaimed off waivers after failing to produce a point over his 13 games with the Wild this season.

With Falk and Marco Scandella on IR, the Wild have recalled defenseman Matt Dumba from AHL Iowa.

Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune suggests that Falk (upper body) will be out for Thursday's game against the Sabres.

With Falk ailing and Ryan Suter facing a possible suspension, the Wild could end up recalling Stu Bickel and/or Matt Dumba as Thursday's game approaches.

Falk suffered an upper body injury in Monday's loss to Pittsburgh, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

With Falk hurt and Ryan Suter facing a possible suspension for throwing an elbow, the Wild likely need to call up a defenseman or two from AHL Iowa.
