Liles set up two of the Hurricanes' three goals in Monday's narrow loss to the Sabres.

With 19 assists in 54 games, Liles has been a sneaky asset in that category in deep leagues, but his overall profile still isn't especially attractive. He's not a goal scorer (only two on the season) and isn't overly physical on the defensive end, either, as evidenced by his 68 hits and 14 PIM. Moreover, he'll turn 35 in November, meaning that his production will more than likely decline from here forth.

Liles tallied an assist and put up six shot attempts in Monday's loss to the Blackhawks.

Liles has assists in his last three games, while missing one contest in between due to a lower-body injury. At 34 years old, Liles is well removed from his years of steady 40-point production with the Avalanche in the mid-to-late 2000s, but he still represents one of the better puck movers on a Hurricanes blue line that lacks high-end talent.

Liles (lower body) skated as part of the second pairing at Saturday's morning skate, an indication he'll likely play later in the evening against the Rangers.

Liles missed the Hurricanes' previous game Thursday against the Canadiens with the injury, but was able to return to practice Friday. The blueliner has two goals, 16 points, and a minus-6 rating over 45 games this season.

Liles (lower body) returned to practice Friday, nhl.com's Michael Smith reports.

Liles missed Thursday's game against the Canadiens, after suffering the injury during Tuesday's game against the Senators. He can be considered questionable for Saturday's matchup with the Rangers.

Liles suffered a lower-body injury in Tuesday's loss to the Senators and has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Canadiens, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.

The Hurricanes will call up Danny Biega from AHL Charlotte to take Liles' lineup spot for at least Thursday's game. The 34-year-old Liles has two goals, 14 assists, and a minus-6 rating over 45 games this season.

Liles, who sat out the previous two games as a healthy scratch, will return to the lineup Saturday against Florida, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.

Liles will take the place of Ryan Murphy, who took part in the morning skate but will sit out against the Panthers due to illness. With 15 points in 42 games, Liles has been a decent contributor offensively when he plays, but until he can find himself a regular spot in the lineup, it's hard to recommend him for fantasy purposes.

Liles recorded an assist and was plus-2 during Saturday's 5-3 win over the Islanders. It was his 13th point of the season and fifth in his last 11 games.

Liles has found himself serving as a healthy scratch numerous times this season; however, following the recent trade that sent Tim Gleason to Washington, the Canes are now a little thinner on the blue line, and we suspect Liles will see more regular minutes going forward.

Liles recorded a power-play assist - his third helper in the past five games - during Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Ducks. After sitting out for most of January as a healthy scratch, Liles now seems to have cemented himself a regular spot in the lineup, playing mostly on the Canes' second defensive pairing with Tim Gleason. Furthermore, with Ryan Murphy (leg) currently on IR, we suspect Liles should continue to see regular minutes for the time being. For fantasy purposes, if you are in need of a guy averaging roughly 20 minutes per night with some second-line PP time thrown in, Liles just might fit the bill.

Liles was a healthy scratch for the third straight game Tuesday versus the Lightning.

Liles' fantasy value has taken a sharp hit in recent weeks, as he has missed 12 of the past 18 games. He was recently cleared to play following a bout of illness, but now cannot seem to find himself a spot in the lineup. It will probably take an injury to one of the Hurricanes' regular defensemen before he does so. Keep him on your bench for the time being.

Liles (illness) will play Thursday against the Sabres.

Liles will return to action Thursday after missing the last five games. It's not exactly clear where he will line up, but he figures to form half of the Hurricanes' second defensive pairing alongside Ron Hainsey.
