Flames GM Brad Treliving said Tuesday that Hudler had been playing through neck and back issues, NHL.com's Aaron Vickers reports.

It's not clear how long exactly Hudler was nursing the injuries, but there was nothing about his performance at any point during the regular season or playoffs that suggested he was playing at sub-optimal health. The 31-year-old destroyed his previous career highs by tallying 31 goals and 76 points during the regular season, allowing him to finish as a top-10 scorer in the NHL. Hudler certainly won't fly under the radar heading into fantasy drafts next season.

Hudler scored his fourth goal of the playoffs and had an assist in Sunday's series-ending Game 5 loss to the Ducks.

While Hudler had a decent postseason, he failed to record a point in the first four games of the second round and was held pointless in eight of 11 postseason games. The 31-year-old was a force on the power play though, notching three goals with the man advantage. If Hudler, who notched a whopping 76 points in the regular season, continues to play with rising stars Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan next season, he'll likely be in for another very productive campaign.

Hudler (undisclosed) was able to take part in morning skate Sunday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.

He was also able to skate Saturday, which indicates that Hudler will likely be available for the Flames Game 2 contest Sunday night. It's possible that the large deficit the Flames faced when Hudler was initially injured played a part in his not returning to that contest.

Hudler (undisclosed) was able to participate in the Flames' practice on Saturday, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports.

The nature of Hudler's injury remains unclear, however, the fact that he was able to practice on Saturday indicates he'll likely be able to suit up for Sunday's Game 2 against the Ducks. Calgary should provide an update on his status prior to puck drop on Sunday.

Hudler is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

The nature of Hudler's injury isn't clear at this point in time, but it appears as though he's currently a question mark for Sunday's Game 2 against the Ducks. The team should update his status prior to puck drop on Sunday.

Hudler will not return after suffering an undisclosed injury in Thursday's Game 1 matchup with the Ducks.

Hudler suffered the injury early in the second period, and with a deficit too large to overcome, the team will shut him down for the night. It's unclear if the issue will extend into Game 2 on Saturday, but the teams should provide an update at some point before the contest.

Hudler left Thursday's Game 1 against the Ducks in the second period with an undisclosed injury, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Hudler took just three shifts in the second period before leaving the ice, and he didn't return at all in the second period or at the beginning the third. His reason for leaving wasn't disclosed at this point, but the team should provide one when it's available. For now, consider him day-to-day with an unclear status heading into Game 2 on Sunday.

Hudler scored a pair of goals, dished out two assists, recorded a plus-3 rating and fired five shots on goal in Saturday's series-clinching Game 6 win over the Canucks.

A terrific performance from Hudler, who finishes the first round with six points in six games. The 31-year-old continues to thrive on the top line with Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau, as the line combined for eight points Saturday to eliminate the Canucks in six games. After posting 78 points in the regular season, look for the surging Hudler to continue his recent success in Round 2 against the Ducks.

Hudler did not participate in Saturday morning's skate, but will be in the lineup for Saturday evening's Game 6 against the Canucks, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.

Hudler has struggled in the series so far, with two points to go with a minus-5 in five games. He hasn't appeared completely healthy since a rough night against the Kings back in early April, but neither of his linemates have played particularly well in the series either. They'll look to turn it around and close out the Canucks on Saturday night.

Hudler was not at practice Saturday morning, Scott Cruickshank of the Calgary Herald reports.

Hudler hasn't played particularly well this playoff series, with two points and a minus-5 in five games. He could be struggling with an injury, as John Ramage was unexpectedly skating with the team Saturday morning. Hudler may be a game-time decision, so best look elsewhere for Saturday's games.
