McClement scored his seventh goal of the season - his first point in 11 games - in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Penguins. It was his 20th point of the season.

The last time McClement hit the 20-point plateau was four seasons ago, when he had a combined 20 points with Colorado and St. Louis. At 32 years old, it would be a stretch to suggest McClement's career is on an upswing, but at the very least, it was nice to see him step up his game this season. He continues to possess modest fantasy value in deeper formats, especially those that count faceoff percentage, an area in which he particularly excels.

McClement signed a two-year, $1.2 million contract extension with the Hurricanes on Sunday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.

McClement hasn't posted a spectacular season thus far, but he does sport a plus-3 rating and has 18 points through 61 games. The 31-year-old will sort the Hurricanes' colors for at least another two seasons, though the team will look to improve on this season, currently sitting last in their division.

McClement scored twice in Saturday's win over the Islanders.

McClement is a role player whose greatest value lies in his ability to check the team's best snipers and win faceoffs. But he's also picked up seven points, including four goals, in his last 10. His 18 points put him on pace to deliver his best offensive season since 2010-11. His fantasy value is limited to the deepest of formats.

McClement finished with two assists and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Wild.McClement remains confined primarily to a fourth-line role for the Hurricanes, but that hasn't prevented him from providing an offensive boost of late. He's recorded a goal and three assists over his last five games, though he'll probably need to notice an uptick in both even-strength and power-play ice time in order to maintain this level of productivity.

McClement registered an assist during Saturday's 5-4 win over the Sharks. It was his 12th point of the season and sixth in the past 10 games.

For a fourth-line player, McClement has been a consistent source of offense for the Hurricanes over the past few weeks. That said, it's been five seasons since McClement last cracked the 20-point barrier, so don't be surprised if the recent scoring surge dries up and he reverts to trend.

McClement was credited with an assist in Monday's win over the Maple Leafs.

The checking-line center has noticed an unexpected surge in production lately, registering assists in three of his last four games. However, with only three shots on goal during that stretch and his continued presence in a bottom-six role, there's not much to get excited about here.

McClement posted an assist -- just his sixth point of the season -- in Sunday's win over the Bruins.

McClement will never be a big scorer, but he's one of the more reliable faceoff men in the league with a 55.6% win rate, and he kills a lot of penalties, leading the team in shorthanded ice time per game of 2:32. None of this adds up to much fantasy value, of course, but it shows why he's more of an asset to the Hurricanes than to hockey poolies.

McClement (illness) is on the ice for pregame warmups and looks like he'll play Tuesday against the Canadiens.

McClement centered Carolina's fourth line during pregame rushes, with Brad Malone and Justin Shugg flanking him on the side. It appears as though the gastrointestinal issue that forced him out of the team's morning skate has subsided.

McClement is dealing with an illness and will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against the Canadiens, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' website reports.

McClement was unable to take part in Tuesday's morning skate due to the illness. The Hurricanes will decide whether or not he will play shortly before the first puck is dropped.

McClement scored the team's lone goal, his first of the season, in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Red Wings.

McClement now has five points on the season, averaging more than 14 minutes per game. He's a useful player for the Hurricanes, but there isn't much upside from a fantasy perspective.
