Neal (upper body) won't play Sunday against the Flmes, NHL.com's Robby Stanley reports.

Neal, who last suited up on March 12, thus remains day-to-day as Tuesday's game against the Canucks approaches.

Neal (upper body) is in line to miss the Predators' two-game road trip Thursday in Tampa Bay and Saturday in Washington.

Neal returned to the ice Wednesday for practice, the first time he's skated with the team since sustaining the injury about a week and a half ago. However, the winger will still need more time to demonstrate that he's healthy, making it an easy call for the Predators to rule him out for the trip. If his workouts back in Nashville go well over the next few days, he could be a lineup option for Sunday's tilt with the Flames.

Neal (upper body) missed practice Monday and remains day-to-day, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Neal has been sidelined for over a week with the issue, so day-to-day was not an accurate initial tag. His absence form practice Monday isn't promising, as he will likely need to do so before returning to the lineup. He hasn't officially been ruled out for Tuesday, but chances are that will be the case once again.

Neal (upper body) is out of the lineup Saturday against the Sabres.

It will be the fourth straight game Neal has missed due to the injury. Neal hasn't been able to skate since the Preds' March 12 game against the Sharks, and there's been no indication as of yet regarding when his return might eventually come.

Neal (upper body) did not participate in Tuesday's morning skate, the Preds' official site reports.

Neal (upper body) did not take the ice for warmups before Sunday's game against the Ducks, John Glennon of The Tennesean reports.

With Neal missing a second straight game, Mike Santorelli figures to get another shot on the top line. Neal can still be considered day-to-day, and Nashville's next game is scheduled for Tuesday against the Wild.

Neal missed Saturday's 2-1 win over the Kings with an upper-body injury, John Glennon of The Tennessean reports.

Neal was absent from the Preds' morning skate Saturday, but it was believed he was just using his option and would be available for the game. However, he was absent from warmups and ended up being replaced in the lineup by Calle Jarnkrok, with Mike Santorelli moving up to take over Neal's place on the top line. Neal, who is tied for the team lead with 22 goals, is being viewed as day-to-day heading into Sunday's match against the Ducks.

Neal snapped his nine-game pointless drought in style Monday, sniping the game-winner 2:45 into overtime against Arizona.

What a relief for Neal's owners, many of whom likely benched the former Penguin at some point during his slump. He did through 26 shots on net in those nine games, however, and should continue to be an elite volume shooter (202 SOG) in the last month of the season. Neal has found other ways to be productive too, posting a tidy plus-14 rating, racking up 55 PIM and chipping in 13 assists to go with his 22 goals.

Neal was held off the scoresheet for the seventh consecutive game during Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Devils.

The Preds - losers of four straight and six of their past eight - have really come back to earth over the past two weeks, and Neal's scoreless drought has not helped. However, the good news is he's shooting the puck a ton, including 14 shots in his last three games alone. He's also seeing premium ice time - roughly 20 minutes per night with heavy minutes on the power play. As long as he continues to skate on the Preds' top line alongside Mike Ribeiro and Filip Forsberg, fantasy owners can do little but continue to roll Neal and hope he breaks out of his slump soon.
