Ward stopped 25 of 26 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 road victory against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
The typically mediocre veteran is in the midst of a hard-to-foresee five-game winning streak -- a spectacular stretch in which he's made 126 saves on 131 shots (.962). He's gotten it done against a host of quality opponents, too, including the Habs, the Sharks and the Caps. Ward should continue drawing just about every start for the 'Canes moving forward, as neither typical backup Eddie Lack (concussion) nor interim backup Michael Leighton poses any kind of threat to his workload.
