The Wild placed Veilleux on waivers Monday, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. The veteran Veilleux got a chance to compete for a roster spot during training camp, but it appears he will begin the upcoming campaign in the minors. Veilleux will be assigned to AHL Iowa if he clears waivers.
