The three assists produced by Anaheim's Teemu Selanne Friday night gave the 42-year-old veteran 1,414 career points, moving him into a tie for 17th place all time with Doug Gilmour.
Selanne set up all three goals in the Ducks' 3-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild. Two of the goals were scored by Kyle Palmieri and the other by his second linemate, Bobby Ryan. "Me and Bobby both had basically tap-ins and they were all because of Teemu's passing," Palmieri said. "I think it gets a little overlooked because of how many goals he's scored. The crazy amount of ways he finds the back of the net. That vision definitely doesn't stop at goal scoring. It helps in finding other guys and the open guys on the team."
