The Edmonton Oilers started training camp on Sunday by practicing outdoors.
The fans were there to greet the Oilers despite temperatures only managing to hit a high of minus 14 degrees C (7 degrees F). It was a surprise for the Oiler players who thought they would be practicing indoors and not playing shinny outdoors. "It was out of nowhere for everybody," Eberle said. Eberle said that the fans were great and so was the turnout. Hockey is back in Edmonton.
