Superstar Martin St. Louis is worried about the layoff due to the NHL lockout.
The 37-year-old, who has missed very few games over his fabulous NHL career, is concerned about his inactivity. "I need to play," St. Louis said. "I'm 37 years old." The veteran seems to be frustrated with the pace of negotiations. "You go through the summer, you always feel that it's going to get resolved, and then you go through it after the lockout starts and you are in Week 3 or 4, it's real," St. Louis said. "There are definitely depressing days where coming to the rink is depressing. You don't feel like a pro, you are just doing the necessities to try to stay on top as much as you can." Let's hope some of this sentiment gets through to Union leader Donald Fehr and NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.
