Steven Stamkos has been playing in his dad's Thursday night beer league games near his hometown of Markham, Ontario.
"There's a couple times when I've had to take a little mustard off the shot," Stamkos said. The upcoming season was to be Stamkos's fifth in the NHL and a sequel to a third-straight 90-point campaign in which he led the league with 60 goals. Stamkos is only the second player in 15 seasons to reach 60 goals and the first since Alex Ovechkin potted 65 in 2007-08. He is a legitimate candidate for the first overall pick in your fantasy draft.
