Radim Vrbata dealt with a shoulder injury during the Phoenix Coyotes' playoff run.
Vrbata sustained the injury in his first shift in the first round. He also had an allergic reaction to antibiotics during the regular season and while the pain related to it was gone by the time the playoffs started, it did limit his ability to properly prepare for the playoffs in the same way he usually does. "I felt it in the postseason, because you don't have that extra energy," he said. "You don't have that edge, and when the level of play goes higher you're kind of stuck with what you have." Vrbata was great in the regular season, but he scored just two goals and five points in 16 playoff contests.
