Pekka Rinne (hip surgery) said his recovery is "going really well," though it's tough to say when he'll be back on the ice.
Tim Thomas and Niklas Backstrom have provided advice to Rinne as he recovers from a hip arthroscopy procedure. "They were super nice, sharing their experience and the way they came back and how they felt," Rinne said. "The one common thing is it's a lot of work, and you have to treat it as the biggest thing. Every day I'm working to get better." He said pinpointing his return to the ice is tough right now. "It's hard to set any timetables," Rinne said. "It's just the nature of the injury and hopefully I can get back and keep progressing steadily, have no setbacks and eventually get back on the ice." He'll be reevaluated in July.
