P.A. Parenteau is projected to draw interest from several clubs when he hits free agency on Sunday, including the Ottawa Senators.
Pierre Dorion, who is the Senators' director of player personnel, suggested Wednesday that the Senators would be interested in signing Parenteau if he was available on July 1 and it looks like that will be the case. Ottawa wants to add some depth on the wing with the possible retirement of Daniel Alfredsson looming over their heads, so a signing like Parenteau would seemingly be a good fit. He posted a career-high 67 points in 80 games last season with the New York Islanders.
