Nicklas Backstrom (neck) resumed skating on Friday after being examined by a neurologist.
Backstrom hadn't been on the ice since Dec. 26 and dizziness was one of his symptoms, so the fear was that he had another concussion. Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. "I feel good. I'm a hundred percent," Backstrom said. "I know it's a lot of speculation about what's going on and stuff, but it's something I wanted to check out. So I went to Michigan and I got it checked out. No concussion, so we can all be calm." It was determined that the injury is related to his neck and isn't serious. Consider him day-to-day for now.
