Neuvirth stopped 27 of 30 shots en route to a 4-3 overtime win over the Capitals on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth stood tall when it mattered in this one, handing the Caps their first loss at home since November. He's been one of the league's best backups this season and heads into the All-Star break sporting a 11-6-2 record with a 2.14 GAA and a .933 save percentage -- which happens to be the best mark in the entire league among qualified netminders. With that said, if there's any goalie that's poised to wrestle the duties away from their team's incumbent starting netminder (Steve Mason, in this case) once play resumes, it's Neuvirth.
