Max Pacioretty commented that he was more shocked than hurt following the alleged biting incident from Saturday night's game against Toronto.
Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski wasn't disciplined by the league because there wasn't sufficient evidence that an actual bite occurred on the play. Pacioretty was enraged on the ice at the time and although he's still clearly annoyed by the incident he has seemingly cooled down since then. "I did wrap my hand around (Grabovski's) face," he said. "That doesn't justify biting someone, but it happened and it's over. I wouldn't have (bitten) in that situation, but I gave him a reason (in his mind) to do it." Pacioretty needs to refocus himself anyway, as he has no goals and six assists in seven games this season.
