EDGE Analysis
The Flyers got outplayed badly in every period of this game but the middle one, so most of the credit for this one has to go to Mason. Philadelphia was outshot 14-6 in the first frame and 18-8 in the third, but Mason held the fort both times and took advantage of his team's four-goal second period to end his three-game losing streak. Mase still has a losing record on the year, having taken home only 13 wins in 34 starts, thanks to a Flyers offense that's rarely delivered the kind of energetic offensive performance we saw in this one.
