Jeff Skinner denied that he "slew-footed" Patrice Bergeron near the end of Monday's contest.
"We got tangled up. I don't know what else to say," explained Skinner. "He puts his stick across my body and latches on to me and we both fell backward. I really don't know what I'm supposed to do in that situation." Bergeron didn't see it that way and was livid after the play, while his linemate Brad Marchand accused Skinner of slew-footing "all the time" when he spoke to WEEI.com in Boston. The NHL decided not to take any action for the play though.
