Gallagher recorded an assist on the Canadiens' lone goal in their series-ending Game 6 loss to the Lightning on Tuesday. Though Gallagher finished the series with a respectable three points and 20 shot attempts, the Habs' overall lack of playmakers in their top-six forwards proved to be the difference in the series. Though he profiles best as a second- or third-line player, Gallagher was relied upon to often to carry the load with Max Pacioretty and Tomas Plekanec on the team's top trio. The 23-year-old might have the ability to develop into a 60-point player down the road, but the Habs clearly need to add supplemental talent to their forward ranks this offseason in order to have a more serious shot at contending for the Stanley Cup in 2015-16.
