Evgeni Malkin has officially been diagnosed with a concussion.
That's what the signs pointed to all along and it was confirmed by Pens coach Dan Bylsma after Sunday's game. The talented center also suffered "short-term memory loss," according to Josh Yohe of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, in addition to reported severe headaches and mild disorientation. Malkin won't travel with the team on its upcoming road trip that begins Tuesday. We wish him a speedy recovery: the game is a much better one with him in it.
