Evander Kane made a poor public relations choice on his Twitter account early Wednesday morning.
He posted a picture of himself in Las Vegas with wads of cash in both hands. He used the stack in his right hand as a fake phone and tweeted: "Hey @FloydMayweather pick up your phone cause I'm callin #imdifferent." While the post is just a joke directed at pro boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. it is fairly inappropriate given the ongoing labor issues. Several individuals are being impacted financially by the NHL lockout and this isn't a positive message for a member of the players' union. The 21-year-old inked a six-year, $31.5 million contract moments before the lockout occurred.
