Despite his current slump, Ellis still has seven points in 14 games so far this season, which puts him on pace for roughly a 40-point campaign. He continues to skate roughly 19-20 minutes per game on the Preds' third defensive pairing with Mattias Ekholm, and he also mans the point on the second power-play unit where he sees about two minutes per game. All told, Ellis makes for a decent fantasy defenseman option in medium to deeper formats.
